Primary job responsibilities include :

- Analyze and visualize data on a project basis to enhance operational efficiency for a global healthcare company. The Data Analyst will lead and perform complex analysis in an evolving data environment.

- In addition to very strong technical skills, this position will have superb business process analysis and interpersonal skills. The Ability to extract and analyze data, patterns, and related trends is needed, with the subsequent ability to synthesize the data into information consumable by senior business decision makers.

- Total 10-12 years of experience in BI & Analytics.

- Work with all constituents throughout the implementation process from initial engagement to delivery of application solutions.

- Work with internal and external customers to elicit requirements and work with trading partners to conduct testing and roll-out activities.

- Work with developers to translate requirements in to functional and technical design documents and follow established Waterfall/Agile SDLC processes for testing and implementation.

- Communicate with informatics specialists, product managers and developers to ensure translation of requirements to IT solutions.

- Conduct analysis to ensure quality of data at various stages of its evolution.

- Produces analytical reports and studies that are made available to a wide variety of constituents, including oversight bodies, and internal and external stakeholders.

- Translates data into meaningful information.

- Develops visual concepts and data visualizations and coordinates the design of print, web, or multimedia data and information reporting products.

- Proficiency in end to end analytics.

- Perform proof of concept analyses

- Investigate and responds to routine or standard requests

- Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions-Complete projects that require data mining, analysis, and presentation

- Focus On solutions, dive into projects, quickly identify drivers in the data-Identify relevant trends, do follow up analysis, prepare visualizations-Develop dashboards to track remediation of issues

Requirements/Additional requirements :

- Assist with the extraction, transformation and load specifications and business logic into application database.

- Communicate with clients and developers to define and validate data extraction specifications

- Experience in statistical modeling, data mining and Business Intelligence with SAS or any another tool.

- Experience in generating insights by conducting extensive analyses of rich healthcare data.

- Working Familiarity with any one tool like SSRS, Tableau, Excel, Qlickview.

- Experience writing and assessing business requirements documents

- Create algorithms to data mine member, claims and COB data

- This is a high visibility role requiring high energy due to the constant interaction with the customers-Self-driven, ability to work independently and facilitate change

- Ability to work in a fast paced, technical, cross-functional environment

- Excellent Visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data-Ability to work projects from inception to completion

- Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills-Ability to maintain understanding of numerous client processes

- Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills in order to meet multiple deadlines, comfortable working in a high-paced/high production area

- Desire and ability to learn new skills, systems and processes-Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them

Qualification :

- PG degree or relevant equivalent experience, 6+ years of data analysis experience

- Proficient with MS Excel-Minimum of 1-2 years of working knowledge of SSRS/SSIS/Tableau or any other reporting tool.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred : Experience in the health care industry analyzing claims and member data

- Coordination of Benefits (COB) experience-Working knowledge of SQL and relational database systems
