Job Description - Roles and Responsibilities :

- Lead and serve as subject matter expert on multiple projects in forecasting and econometric/statistical modeling

- Research on leading edge technologies in data mining like machine learning concepts on text mining, NLP, Speech Analytics and implement in projects.

- Work closely with senior leadership in devising strategy for pioneering and implementing advanced analytics methods to identify and solve business problems in healthcare

- Work closely with project managers throughout the solution development lifecycle, from analytical design to implementation

- Work with the business teams to operationalize the analytics solution for problems in areas of Fraud Waste and Abuse, Customer Engagement and Experience, Operational Analytics, Industrial Engineering and Advanced Forecasting techniques.

- Engage in client communications for all important functions including data understanding/exploration, strategizing solutions etc.

- Leverage UHG's big data analytics infrastructure comprising Hadoop, Revolution R, Visual SAS and SAS Fraud framework to solve complex business problems in Healthcare Domain

- Acquire understanding of US Healthcare domain

Qualification - Required Skill set :

- Proficient in SAS, R/Python, SQL, Microsoft Office Excel/Access/PowerPoint.

- Knowledge of any object oriented programming language C++, C#, Java is desirable -Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of econometric/statistical methods like (Linear Regression, Logistic regression, Generalized Linear Model,

- Survival Analysis, Sampling Techniques, Design of Experiments, Time series analysis, CART, CHAID, Multivariate Techniques like Clustering, Discriminant Analysis, Principal Component Analysis, Factor Analysis, Multidimensional Scaling etc.)

- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of any one or two of these machine learning techniques like (Random forest, neural networks, Support vector machines, Gradient Boosting, Bagging Techniques, Genetic Algorithms etc.)-Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Excellent problem solving abilities

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating good level of maturity-Excellent interpersonal and team skills
