Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities :

- The person will be responsible for the entire tax spectrum of UHG India. This will primarily include direct tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, SEZ / STPI compliances.

- Considering that tax is an area which is always evolving and subject to interpretations, the candidate should ensure that all the changes in law are implemented in the given time frame.

- The person should also be responsible to manage the tax assessments, tax litigation and advising on the external contracts.

Corporate Tax:

- Finalization of Tax Audit Report and Corporate Tax Return

- Handling Income Tax assessments and appeals

- Transfer Pricing Compliances and assessments

- Quarterly deposit of Advance Income Tax

- Timely payment of TDS and filing of TDS return

- Ensuring that all the new changes are implemented and the organization is compliant in all respect

- Handling TDS notices and filling of correction statement and issue TDS certificates an regular basis.Indirect Tax-- Implementation of Goods and Services Tax

- Timely payment of service tax and filing of service tax return

- Filing of quarterly service tax refunds and getting the same processed from service tax authorities

- Timely payment of VAT liability and filing of periodic returns

- Getting the VAT assessments done- STPI / SEZ Compliances

- Securing SEZ approvals for the new sites.

- For the existing sites getting the SEZ / STPI approvals renewed

- Filing of various periodic reports like MPR, Softex, APR etc.

- Ensuring that the applicable regulations from SEZ / STPI are complied with and there are no non-compliances.

Qualification:

Job Requirements:

- The candidate should have 4-6 years of experience in the area of India taxation. The person should be working in a big and reputed organization.

- The candidate should be a Chartered Accountant or an MBA Finance with good communication and inter-personal skills.
