Unit Head - Consumer Durables

JOB DESCRIPTION : UNIT HEAD

The Unit Head is ultimately responsible and accountable for the performance of the unit. This entails running the unit on a day-to-day basis, assuring provision, evaluation and monitoring of quality services, and mentoring and training the staff.

Job Description :

The base location will be in Bangalore, the candidate is expected to manage the maintenance function.

- This position would be responsible for Project execution within costs and timelines, effective Plant maintenance to deliver and controlling of Plant Maintenance expenses, compliance to all statutory requirement for new projects and operating installations, support development of subordinates and other employees.

- Plant Maintenance :

- develop Good Engineering Standards and Practices for facility and asset maintenance

- develop and implement effective Spares and Consumables strategy for the facility

- implement actions to maintain high OEE for the Plant equipment

- plan, implement, review and improve maintenance systems and procedures

Production :

- Develop new and improve existing manufacturing methods that will increase efficiency and improve quality.

- In conjunction with the Plant Engineer, recommend new equipment to be purchased

- To remain in compliance with all Federal, State and local environmental regulations by establishing and maintaining necessary monitoring capabilities and taking preventative and/or corrective action.
