Position: VP, AVP & Manager - Investments

Job role:

Primary function is to identify opportunities to grow the asset portfolio and deliver the desired returns from project assets.

Responsibilities:

Investments:

- Originate, identify, evaluate, structure, negotiate and execute potential investments opportunities through bids and / or acquisitions

- Screen investment opportunities using approved criteria;

- Evaluate attractiveness of growth opportunities to assess the viability and feasibility of growth opportunities including detailed risk assessment;

- Conduct detailed due diligence through in–house resources and external agencies for all growth opportunities;

- Negotiate terms and conditions of detailed term sheets / contracts with potential partners;

- Prepare investment proposals;

- Lead legal documentation and execution of agreements;

- Draft, negotiate and execute contracts with partners for project specific–opportunities viz., EPC Contracts, Consultancy Contracts, etc; and

- Design and provide MIS reports.

Portfolio management:

- Perform quasi – executive roles in investee companies during the hand-holding period to ensure smooth operations of investee companies;

- Assist in negotiating and finalizing term sheets, definitive documents for raising debt and equity in portfolio companies;

- Continuous monitoring of the performance of all investee companies to ensure realization of desired returns;

- Assist the Company and its investee companies in specific assignments / situations related to development of projects;

Qualification and Experience:

Education: MBA Finance / CA / CFA

Relevant Experience:

- 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in investments / financing;

- Prior experience in Infrastructure investments is a pre-requisite; and

- Expertise in Transportation sector of Infrastructure

Other requirements:

- Good understanding of Indian infrastructure sector, including investment environment, investment risks and regulatory issues;

- In-depth understanding of financial concepts and investment functions; and

- Strong financial modeling skills and presentation preparation abilities.
