It does this by delivering excellent IT services globally so that Unilever can better serve customers, translate its global scale into local cost competitiveness and create maximum agility. 		 Enterprise Support and IT Innovation have agreed a joint strategic agenda, which sets out the following ten priorities: 		 - Consumer intimacy  - Connect with the customer  - Real time information service  - Seamless business integration   - Great place to work 	  - Deliver superior services   - Efficient service operations   - Global process and systems convergence  - Building a professional services community  - Sustainability program  The IT operating model - which sets out key roles and responsibilities, and interfaces across IT Services and IT Innovation - has been designed to ensure that the IT function can deliver on these priorities.  The Enterprise Solutions team plays a vital role in introducing technology innovation to the business in the form of new and enhanced IT services and in delivering a portfolio of integrated global and regional IT services that enable the business to operate and grow.   It performs four primary functions:  - ERP & Global Landscape Management  - Application Services  - Functional CoE & Programme Delivery  - And a number of shared services of which SAM & Supplier Management is an integral part  The Software Asset & Supplier Management team provides   - end-to-end lifecycle management of all software assets, manage software demand globally and engage with IP, Legal and other teams to drive the value and reduce costs  - drive supplier performance through robust governance, reporting  - Managing existing contracts and compliance to the terms/spend analysis  - Managing consumption of supplier services and ensure optimisation and cost avidance  The Global Software Supplier Contract & Performance Manager reports to the Software Asset & Supplier Management Director.   As part of the Software Asset & Supplier Management team, the purpose of the Senior IT Manager - Software and Services Consumption role is to ensure that the providers of Application Development and Application Maintenance services deliver those services in accordance with the agreed scope, service level agreement (SLA) and to the required performance levels and to ensure the governance with the Service Providers is followed consistently across geographies as defined.  The Senior IT Manager - Software and Services Consumption reports to the Director Software Asset & Supplier Management.  Main Accountabilities:   The Senior IT Manager – Software and Services Consumption will be accountable for the following:  Core Accountabilities:  Pre-Contract:  - Work with ITSD Global Solution Delivery, Run AM and Innovation as required in the specification of new or amended services and the identification and selection of suppliers.  Contract Negotiation:  - Support the Contract and Commercial Manager during negotiation of contracts or contract change to ensure that supplier performance requirements are reflected in any subsequent contract or service agreement, and define the consequences of non-compliance.  Post-Contract: Supplier Governance  - Operate an effective governance model for managing the supplier relationships within the AD/AM portfolio.  - Operate an effective supplier management command structure and escalation process, to ensure that the requisite operational methods, procedures, facilities and tools are established, reviewed and maintained. Procures goods/services necessary to ensure the continuity of the service.  - Ensure proper monitoring of supplier services at an aggregated level and initiates actions, including the enforcement of any penalty clauses, to bring services back into line or to terminate them.  - Manage and oversee supplier service improvement actions and programmes.  Post-Contract: Service Performance Management  - Manages supplier performance at the ‘aggregate level’ across all AD or AM services delivered by the specific Service Providers.  - Ensures that the service providers resolve performance related issues that impact on their aggregated service delivery.  - Leads regular service review meetings with suppliers and meets key styakeholders (Innovation, Run AM) regularly to monitor progress against issues and to ensure that an agreed levels of performance is maintained.  - Ensures that quantitative and qualitative data is collected and analysed to monitor the suppliers’ performance against agreed requirements, publishes the results, and initiates actions based on results. Ensures that subjective views of suppliers’ performance by own staff and the key stakeholders (Run AM, Innovation, Service Introduction)are taken into account. Publishes the results of performance and service improvement reviews.  - Reviews SLAs and extensions to existing SLAs with the Run AM team. Liaises regularly with service providers and customers to review and improve performance against SLA.  - Works with key stakeholders (Run AM, Innovation) to establish qualitative assessment of the service provision, from the customers’ perspective, and initiates actions for improvement, where appropriate. Implementation of a multi-sourcing environment with a good mix of vendors to deliver optimum value to Unilever  - Establishing & maintaining Win-Win relationships with the Strategic Vendors  - Achievement of Aggregate Performance by Suppliers against targets set in the Contracts  - Strong engagement & collaboration with the Innovation Leadership Teams in implementing the Sourcing Strategy  - Effective management of contractual escalations with the vendors  - Ensure that the Service provided is Value for Money by Benchmarking against industry standards  - Establishing a competitive internal multi-sourcing environment to optimise value and risk profile  - Actual KPIs will be set for the role-holders annual objectives/3+1.  Essential:  - At least 2 years experience as either a customer manager or supplier manager at Unilever or another global organisation.  - At least 1 year experience with the management or operation of outsourced and third party contracts.  - Proven experience in managing IT Service providers and suppliers in delivering IT projects and services in a global environment.  - Strong appreciation of the service and governance processes and challenges.  - Good overall knowledge of wide areas of IT practice and applications.   - Proven experience of leading and managing teams in a diverse and globally distributed environment  - Good commercial awareness and understanding of providing TCO models  Desirable:  - Good knowledge of structured service delivery methodologies such as ITIL  - Good knowledge of supplier management best practice such as e.g. TPI  - Good project management skills in line with best practice such as PRINCE2 and /or six sigma  - Understanding of operational controls for risk and compliance such as COBiT / OCA / SOX  - Experience of ITT and RFP with a range of suppliers for infrastructure and application environments.  Key Skills:  - Good business awareness, understanding the broader context in which IT delivery has an impact on overall business performance.  - Supplier Relationship Management  - Service Level Management  - Quality Management  - Strong negotiation skills  - Commercial skills.  - Confident leadership and influencing style, being able to make an immediate impact with suppliers and customers.  - Strong leadership and communication skills  - Ability to inspire confidence in delivery, a strong service focus (project and operations).  - Excellent understanding of service delivery  - Flexibility to adjust to changing business requirements  - Good networking and influencing skills   - Leadership Behaviours  Employee should "meet expectations" on the Standards of Leadership behaviours relevant to the WL of this role.
