Purpose of the Job:

- The Consumer Operations Platform Team (part of the Consumer IT Team) manages the key relationships in Global Marketing including Marketing Operations, Marketing Excellence, Brand Comms and Marketing Innovation.

- The Consumer Operations Platform is the technology platform underpinning Global Marketing's business processes, mainly (but not exclusively) based on Salesforce.com. The team is responsible for all aspects of the IT business application design, is accountable for design quality from feasibility to delivery and timely delivery of affordable and sustainable IT business solutions at acceptable risk to ongoing operations, in line with the long-term plans for the evolution of our key IT landscapes. The team also owns the end-user experience, service delivery and operation of applications on the platform.

- The Senior Manager will work closely with the Platform Architect and Project Teams to develop, implement and govern cross-application development and operating standards, tooling and processes.

Main Accountabilities:

As the Senior Technical Manager for the Consumer Operations Technology Platform, you will be working with internal and external team members and partners leading the selection, development, implementation and management of appropriate testing and monitoring processes and tooling across the Consumer Operations Platform to ensure Platform applications are developed, deployed and operated to required standards.

You will be responsible for continuous evaluation of different testing and monitoring techniques and methodologies to make sure that they are being used in a way that adds value to the business. In addition, due to the global nature of the organisation, you will need to build strong relationships with stakeholders and other departments whilst proactively working on multiple projects and release streams. You will also be keeping on top of the latest industry trends and will look to bring in new tech and best practice where it can benefit the team and/or business.

Required Experience:

- Experience in Test Automation, Performance Testing and Application Monitoring

- Experience of working on projects delivered using Waterfall & Agile methodologies across the full application lifecycle

- A background in developing and implementing new test strategies and methodologies

- Ability to effectively communicate at a technical level with application developers / technical architects

- Degree-level educated or equivalent experience

- Industry-relevant qualifications

- Salesforce certification

- Awareness of current trends in Agile development and application monitoring tools and ability to discuss the potential uses and merits of each

- Salesforce.com experience, ideally in an FMCG or similar industry environment
