Unilever - Process & Technology Manager - Supply Chain Finance

The Process & Technology manager role leads the Supply Chain Finance Processes, for both project roll outs as well as process improvements. Supply Chain Finance covers the following activities:

- Factory Accounting

- Product Costing

- GMVA

- Transfer Pricing

The role develops subject matter expertise in the end to end Supply Chain Finance processes & required technology

The Process & Technology Managers support the global convergence agenda, delivering efficiencies & complexity reduction, continuously improving the available process & technology solutions and ensuring internal and external benchmarking. They are the functional experts who will deliver integrated process & technology design, satisfying business needs, and ensuring compliance with the overarching process and service strategy.

In addition, this role has responsibility for the relationship between IT and the decision makers in the business, focusing on building and fostering those relationships, ensuring good governance of IT investments, identifying and managing the demand for IT resources, and providing Executive-level service level management

Core Accountabilities:

- Deliver harmonisation, operational effectiveness and measurable improvement through the design and delivery of process and system solutions that generate value for the business

- Analyse business processes and systems, and identify business factors influencing the development of new or alternative business processes & systems

- Assess change requests and create clarity of business process requirements that drive appropriate delivery of services

- Design effective end-to-end process solutions to deliver the Function's business strategy and policy

- Manage and participate in process improvement projects, ensuring the smooth integration of new business processes and tools with organisational structure and culture.

- Assess the implications of new processes on both people and organisation and identify the activities necessary to ensure a smooth transition to new processes & tools.

- Support the definition of operational acceptance criteria for new and changed processes and tools and support Service Operations in judging if operational acceptance criteria have been met

- Manage the implementation of new or amended services, processes, procedures, tools and techniques

- Determine, develop and monitor monthly performance measures specific to the live service

- Monitor and ensure process compliance - work with stakeholders within Unilever and Service Providers and the wider business to ensure the service is working as desired

- Capture, build and share internal and external best practices

- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging process and technology trends and developments in areas of interest to the organisation

- Support training and testing where appropriate and educate extended user base on solutions as required

- Create and maintain process knowledge to be made available professionally through ES organisation to the business

- Ensure robust controls are in place for security and access to systems and enabling technologies

- Support Level Zero Cluster Organizations

Essential:

- Experience with GMC

- Experience with Process mapping and basic understanding of the GPM / Aris

- Program and Project Management

- Experience in Factory Operations & Supply chain accounting

- Experience in an ERP environment - preferably SAP

- Basic understanding on Procurement Operations

- Functional experience in mapping E2E Procurement processes into IT solutions with a basic appreciation for finance aspect of procurement

- Basic understanding on Financial Forecasting process for Supply Chain Costs
