Job Position: IT Manager, ALM landscape Operations	  Function: Innovation Enterprise Solutions  Reports to: Director Enterprise Solutions  Scope: Global  Location: Bangalore, ETSC  Job Description:  - Enterprise Solutions mission is to significantly increase the speed of business solution implementations while maintaining quality and enabling a material reduction of IT costs relative to turnover by driving convergence and simplification within IT.  - Global Solution Manager program aims to have global processes and tools (anchored on Global Solman) supporting the business solutions from implementation to run phase. In this journey, the aim is to land business benefits by reducing risk to the ERP landscape, reduce cost of operations and land innovation faster. There are 2 key pillars of this programme - “Innovation” and “Operate as One”.   - Global Solution Manager is a High availability Global Instance which in the end state would be connected to all big bets and other critical systems of the Unilever SAP landscapes accounting to approximately 400 systems. This, on one hand, will become the IT hub of Unilever as it will be used to manage the whole of IT landscape and on the other hand become the “Single Source of truth” for all business repository and documentations.  Hence the Unilever’s Global Solution Manager is a large, complex and a very critical landscape. Furthermore new functionality addition at a very high run rate continuously adds to the growing complexity.   - The role of the IT Manager, ALM operations will be to manage this huge, complex landscape with nil disruptions. The role will be to ensure that the landscape runs smoothly and the changes do not conflict, there is a robust testing and the landscape is managed well by ways of releases.   - The IT Manager, ALM operations becomes the focal point for the Global Solution Manager landscape, in contact with various other teams, e.g. the global release management team, Enterprise Computing, Application Support.   - He/She is a lead person who can enforce the global process, establish close links with project teams, PMs, challenge and find ways of improving the controls of change management.   - He/She manages the landscape release management team and deals with escalations when the process is not met.   - He/She manages all the activities of release management for all the applications in the landscape, covering integrated planning, AD & change control, technical landscape management and coordination of regression testing as well overall alignment with global release management team.  IT Manager, ALM Landscape Operations has following areas of responsibility:  - Work closely with all the internal and external stakeholders to plan changes and releases in the most cost effective manner without causing any risks to the Global Solman Landscape or the connected systems/landscapes. Set up and run the Global Solman release calendar  - Ensure increasing efficiency and reduced risk to Global Solman - by ensuring release management process is followed and adequate regression testing is done. Manage periodic releases on time in full with quality.  - Refining the Global Solman landscape, architecture and set up Global Solution Manager for scale up; with the help of vendor partners and enterprise computing teams in Unilever.   Key Skills:  Landscape Release Manager “Integrated Planning”:  - Work closely together with the external and internal stakeholders to develop the global integrated demand plan.  - Involvement in discussion with all work streams for project roll outs   - Feed landscape specific project and KEC demand into the planning process.  - Manage release management   - Provide consulting to the internal teams on release management activities.   Landscape Release Manager “AD & Change Control”:  - Ensure adherence to CAB and Gate meetings - all Governance processes  Perform Change control & Gate meetings. Publish list of CRs that have passed the gate:  - Provide feedback to the global planning team in case of important changes in timelines.  - Continuous contribution to change control on the basis of change requests with a responsibility to sign-off on invasiveness assessments.   - Handle escalations when necessary.   Technical Landscape Planning and Execution:  - Drive the planning process, complete the assessment of the KEC guidelines & integrated plan on upgrades etc   - Prepare and own the Landscape operations plan  - Responsible for Approval & Communication of the landscape operations plan.  - Engage with EC to ensure that Application & Infrastructure Delivery Teams are available to support delivery  - Provide the landscape operations plan to EC, manage the relationship with EC to ensure that activities are delivered to plan, and communicate any outage periods needed for execution.   - Define landscape documentation that is needed. Work together with the EC to provide documentation / information where required. Populate the repository with required documents  - Define the full scope of maintenance activities needed for landscape applications.
