The Process & Technology manager in the Business Operations Capabilities team is primarily focused on advising, designing, deploying solutions for projects and programmes.
- He/she supports the global convergence agenda, delivering cost & complexity reduction, the drive to continuously improve the available process solutions and ensuring both internal and external benchmarking.
- He/she is the functional expert who will deliver integrated process design satisfying business needs and ensuring compliance with the overarching process and service strategy.
- This role is primarily focused on designing and deploying excellent and sustainable solutions, to time and cost, in the process area of Supply Planning, within the end to end process of Plan to Forecast, for the Asia region.
- In addition, this role will also have responsibility for supporting the ‘business as usual’ in the Clusters, continuously driving usage and improvements

In general the role of Process & Technology manager is responsible for:
- Deliver harmonisation, operational effectiveness and measurable improvement through the design and delivery of process and system solutions that generate value for the business
- Analyse business processes, and identify business factors influencing the development of new or alternative business processes
- Assess change requests and create clarity of business process requirements that drive appropriate delivery of services
- Assess feasibility and options for the implementation of new or improved business processes and services
- Contribute to feasibility studies
- Design effective end-to-end process solutions to deliver the Function’s business strategy and policy
- Ensure the smooth integration of new business processes with organisational structure and culture.
- Assess the implications of new processes on both people and organisation and identify the activities necessary to ensure a smooth transition to new processes.
- Support the definition of operational acceptance criteria for new and changed processes and tools and support Service Operations in judging if operational acceptance criteria have been met
- Manage the implementation of new services, processes, procedures, tools and techniques
- Capture, build and share internal and external best practices
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of emerging process and technology trends and developments in areas of interest to the organisation
- Support training and testing where appropriate and educate extended user base on solutions as required
- Create and maintain process knowledge to be made available professionally through ES organisation to the business
- Ensure robust controls are in place for security and access to systems and enabling technologies
Specific Areas of focus for this role are:
- Work with key stakeholders in the Asia Supply Chain to establish Business Operations ways of working for Supply Planning
- Audit/assess current Asia supply planning ways of working and conformance to global standards to identify a roadmap of interventions/training/changes/projects to fill the gaps
- Improve the interactions and ways of working with Categories
- Work with GCSE to establish an Asia supply planning roadmap
- Work with IT and CoE on APO convergence for Asia in Supply Planning systems (APO, Terra)
- Lead specific areas of Supply Planning expertise on behalf of wider Plan to Forecast team
Professional Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent
Experience:
- More than 10 years relevant experience in operational and/or strategic roles in the supply chain (preferably in a planning role)
- Global/regional experience
- Hands-on knowledge of SAP APO planning tool (ideally U2K2)
- Process design experience preferred
