Main Purpose: The Operations team, which runs the logistics in our firm, is at the heart of our business. Procurement and data analysis is a core part of the operations team's activities and caters to our need to understand the changing demands of our global business. It is techno-commercial in nature which requires an individual to apply their analytical &amp; negotiation skills to understand &amp; optimize procurement costs and develop sophisticated modeling and reporting tools to drive negotiations with our service providers. It requires candidates with highly numeric skills who have an ability to devise and interrogate databases for the purpose outlined. Key Responsibilities: Assist Senior management in the following areas: - Participate in devising a global strategy to rationalize and reduce procurement cost with all service providers globally - Refine global processes and procedures to assist in achieving these objectives - Execute the strategy on a day to day basis as a front line analyst and ensure the targets for cost reduction are met in a timely manner - Feedback the analysis and observations as a result for process improvements and commercial advantage to the company - Provide data analytics to assist in negotiating global and or regional rates with service providers for activities in the Energy (oil and gas) trading segment of the business - Review and suggest opportunities to harmonization of contractual terms with international Suppliers to gain maximum commercial advantage for Trafigura - Gain thorough understanding of the Energy trading business globally and identify areas for cost saving and process improvements related to use of service providers and additive suppliers - Analyse invoices by service provider type regionally, then globally, checking them against services availed and Trafigura's Terms &amp; Conditions before sending approval to the Settlements team so that they are paid timely - Establish and maintain good working relationships with International third party service providers on a regular basis - Perform intensive data analysis on the monthly costs incurred for different products in different regions - Work closely with the IT team and independently to represent the data analysis in form of dashboards to higher management along with an executive summary documenting the optimization of costs - Since we work in an extremely regulated environment ensure strict adherence to Trafigura's Code of Conduct and follow internal procedures and the company's policies. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Candidates should have: - 3-5 years of experience either in procurement and / or data analytics - MBA in Finance. - Ability to identify negotiating points with International Suppliers - Advanced Excel skills in data analytics; ideally competent in QlikView - Extremely strong English communication skills married to an excellent quantitative ability - Strong business acumen and commercial bent of mind The ideal candidate for this profile is a self-starter, can think on their feet, always hungry to learn and do more. Action-oriented and well-organized, the candidate has a logical bent of mind and can think out of the box to find solutions to the complex challenges that this role will offer daily.
