Trafigura - Indirect Taxation Specialist (1-4 yrs)

JOB DESCRIPTION

- The corporate tax team is based in various locations worldwide; however this role would be working mainly with the group tax function, which is based in Trafigura’s Geneva office.

As a department, we are responsible for tax position of the Trafigura Group. This includes tax compliance, accounting, reporting and planning. The role involves the following:

- Run System Reports by various division

- Review accounting systems to ensure prior period allocations have been actioned

- Reconcile various reports

- Prepare reports for VAT Return Reconciliation

- Complete various monitoring sheets for receivables from Tax Authorities

- Monitor receipt of monies from Tax Authorities and update monitoring sheets

Experience:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant

- Minimum 1.5 years post-qualification experience

- Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting.

Skills:

- Microsoft Office knowledge with strong skills in Excel is required

- Fluent English required

- Experience demonstrating skill performing basic analytical tasks (e.g., reconciling data, ensuring accuracy of data); maintaining numerous electronic and paper files; using basic office equipment.

Competencies:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

- Capable of working in groups as well as independently.

- Professional management of employee relationships at all levels.

- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

- Team player with an enthusiastic approach to fresh challenges
