Trade Support Engineer

JD for the Trade Support Engineer below. We have a vacancy for 2 Trade Support Engineers; there will be 2 shifts: 5 am - 2 pm, and 6 pm - 3 am (5 days a week).

Location - Mumbai or Bangalore

Compensation - Rs 7-8 lacs per annum + discretionary year-end bonus

Responsibilities

As the Support Engineer, you will be responsible for operating the team’s automated trading strategies and trading infrastructure during market hours, which will involve working closely with the team's traders and with the Trading Infrastructure team. In this high-performance environment, immediate awareness of trading and systems issues and swift responses are essential. Your other responsibilities will include:

- Operating and monitoring existing trading strategies

- Operating and monitoring existing trading infrastructure processes

- Developing tools and scripts for monitoring and alerting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

Basic knowledge of Linux and shell command-line tools

Basic programming (C/C++) and scripting (Perl/Python/Shell) skills

Very strong attention to detail

The ability to notice and analyze problems, and raising alerts quickly and effectively

Excellent communication skills

The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
