Trade Mgmt Analyst - Inv bank - IIT/IIM

A leading investment bank is looking to hire candidates into trading/trading analysis/trade research profiles from top tier institutes (IIT/IIM/NIMIMS/BITS - only 2011/12 batch passouts)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide insights to the senior leadership in the Securities Division on employees, clients and products performance through periodic & adhoc reporting.

- Analyze variance & trend of revenue and provide business with regular revenue reports supported by well written commentaries.

- Identify business opportunities through market/industry analysis by leveraging third party surveys and trading desk reports.

- Assist senior management with annual budgeting and head count analysis

- Work on global initiatives ad lead projects to streamline/automate technical and operational processes improving efficiencies. This involves extensive communication and collaboration with global teams of various verticals.

- Liaising with traders and brokers to ensure efficient settlement of trading activity.

- Process analysis to improve control, scalability and efficiency.

- Building relationships with outside financial institutions to improve quality and productivity of work, integrating best practices as appropriate.

- Providing regular and ad hoc management information on STP rates, risks and volumes.

- Problem solving capability for complex trade flow & accounting issues.

- Oversight of the functions performed in offshore locations.

- Lead departmental change events including systems automation, functional transfers and client experience initiatives.

- Significant liaison with internal and external clients.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- MBA (Finance)/CFA

- Minimum 1-2 years experience in Industry (pref. an investment bank), in revenue management (reporting and analysis)

- Product knowledge in one, or more, Derivative/Core products with an enthusiasm to expand into other areas

- Good understanding of securities business and products

- Experience of financial tools and applications including PeopleSoft, Business objects 6.5 and Essbase is preferred

- Commercial, Inquisitive, enthusiastic self starter with a strong analytical mind set

- Strong system skills, Advanced Excel and Access

- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to interact with global stakeholders as well as senior management

- Flexible and able to work well under pressure

- Good organizational/ multi-tasking skills and focus on meeting deadlines

- Ability to work in a team-based environment and adapt to a dynamic and changing organization
