We have been retained by our client, one the leading Freight Forwarding & Logistics MNC as they are looking for Route Development Manager or Trade Lane Manager for Fareast for Mumbai Location.
We are looking for a candidate who have experience in Freight Forwarding & Logistics Industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION : TRADE LANE MANAGER

JOB TITLE:
Trade Lane Development Manager ( Fareast / West India)

REPORTING TO:
Primary : Country Manager

Secondary : Branch Manager, Mumbai

REPORTED BY:
Field Sales Team / Inside Sales Team, Customer Service Team for all Branches in West India

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
Plan, supervise & implement the Tradelane Development Strategy for Consignee Sales for Air,Ocean (FCL and LCL) and Sea-Air products from Fareast to Indian ports for customers based in West India.

Responsibilities

PRODUCT

Product,Pricing Heads,Ops & Marketing Dept
- Identify potential and create Products for Port Pairs for AI,GI,FI.

- Carrier Selection, Setting Service (transits,routing,cut offs,destination milestones etc) and Pricing Parameters (buys,SSPs,MSPs) .

- Creating,maintaining and Updating Product sheet on this basis for Sales Team.

- Identification and Resolution of Service Issues

SALES
Sales,Inside Sales & Customer Service teams

- To identify Key Target Accounts. Classify potential customers in A,B,C categories and set periodical Personal and Team targets to secure customers in each category.

- Monitor Key Customers to ensure no drop in volumes.

- Lost Customer Analysis to decide whether to regain or not.

- Sales Lead Management

- Planning Sales Blitzs in coordination with Sales Manager

- Periodical Sales Developmental visits to all branches in region.

- Coordinate Periodic,Measurable Sales visits from Origin office counterpart

- Plan Periodic,measurable Sales visits to Origin country

MARKETING

External Sources

- To continuously collate Market Info from various sources – Market Size, Market Potential, Growth Rates.

- Competition – Product dtls,Strengths & Weaknesses,Key Customers etc

- Creating and establishing the ‘Brand’ for the Trade lane

ANALYSIS

- Analyse past and current volumes,# of shipments,yields and growth trends.(on YoY,v/s Budgets,v/s market size- market share)

- Analyse Commodity mixes (density/verticals etc).

- Work towards targeting ideal combinations for AI,GI consols,pallet programs etc to maximize yields.

- Analysis of Port pairs – yields etc to create new services

- Assist in ensuring timely receipt and settlement of Invoices,Credit notes-profit shares,Dispute resolution pertaining to the Tradelane.

- Regular MONTHLY review and Reporting basis above

TRAINING

- Impart Regular Product Training and Updates to Sales and Customer Service team (including Inside Sales and BO teams)

CTC Offered: Upto 15 L PA
