Scope of the role :  - Ground research on design trends in the Indian jewellery market and upcoming customer preferences for identifying opportunities of innovations for Tanishq   - Research on innovative techniques, technology and materials in jewellery production as well as historical craft techniques, materials and motives that can be used in innovative ways   - Research on key trends in International jewellery brands that will influence the Indian market   Job Profile :  - Working with consumer groups, vendor partners and production unit in identifying opportunities and new solutions in combining materials, processes and finishes   - Collecting and summarizing National and International research data for trend briefings under the guidance of Head of Innovation for Merchandising & Marketing, Design and NPI team   - Close understanding of Indian consumer and retail environment  - Hands-on jewellery making capability and material sourcing experience to provide feedback to NPI team on prototypes  - Closely working with Merchandising & Marketing, Design and NPI team.   Key Deliverables :  - No. of detailed and relevant trend research results  - Quality and significance of proposals in terms of techniques and materials  - Commercial success of new designs and cost benefit  - Customer feedback on the new designs  - Impact on the brand image  The right person :   - Education in jewellery or related design area with not less than 5-7 years work experience within the jewellery field, preferably with hands-on training in jewellery making   - Sound knowledge in stone grading  - Retail experience  - Affinity towards lifestyle and fashion combined with comprehensive cultural knowledge and interest in crafts  - Excellent computer and design skills / preferably basic CAD abilities, high affinity towards research  - Innovation Mgt: Sensitivity of customer requirements and taste, open view on social changes creating upcoming possibilities within the fashion and jewellery field  - Practical and solution oriented mind-set with a sense for economical viable ideas   - Team work: open communicative personality with multiple interests, transparent and cooperative team player, excellent networking capability   - Ability to relate to different work fields and cross-cultural communication
