Titan - Manager - Quality Assurance (10-15 yrs)
Scope of the role :
- Enhancing process capabilities in Plain & Studded at In-house and outwork processes
- Mentoring the vendor partners to create process excellence cell & supplier quality assurance cells at their locations
- Compile, manage and report the quality metrics of processes
Job Profile :
- Define and establish process capabilities for studded & Plain Jewelry manufacturing
- Excellence in basics- processes should deliver the basic product quality requirements at right time and targeted cost
- Strategic thinking and innovation
- Bring innovation in the existing processes leading to World class product quality
- Leadership qualities on Effective team building and mentoring
- Train, Competency building to the team members
- Establish Lean techniques In-house and vendor locations
- Training / horizontal deployment of improvements / changes in the processes to Front end staffs, Employees / Karigars and vendors
Key Deliverables :
- Measure & enhance process capability at all manufacturing locations
- Develop supplier quality assurance cells
- Creating the structured problem solving culture
- Align the processes to delight the Internal, External Customer
- Feedback reports to design for manufacturing
- Provide data for periodic MIS and QRM meetings
- Give inputs to Design for Six Sigma
- Measure & reduce Cost of poor quality
- Periodic reliability analysis of products & processes
- Provide support on TBEM, ISO & DEMING deployment
The right person :
- 10-15 years leading process design and improvement initiatives
- Has A Track Record Of Tangible Improvements
- Mastery of various structured problem solving methodologies(Lean 6 Sigma, G8), process design and reengineering, preferably a master black belt
- Applying Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects
- Conduct root cause analysis on specific issues, and guide the implementation and confirmation of corrective actions as a member of the Manufacturing Review Board
- Partnering with Finance to incorporate project savings into long-range financial plans and operating budgets
- Successful track record of leading projects, driving results and change management as well as delivering quantifiable benefits
- Able to visualizing a business processes through the eyes of the customer & know-how of techniques like Kano model, QFD
- Proven track record in establishing supplier quality assurance cells
- Design & imparting training on ISO systems, TQM, TPM, Kaizen, FMEA, Poka Yoke and product life cycle management
- Experience working with data and analytics and have successfully utilized them to make effective business decisions
- Comfortable facilitating with a history of being able to gain consensus through positively impacting and influencing
- Seeking, sharing, and implementing best practices
- Leading, training, coaching and guiding team members through completion of each project.
- Experience in implementing the lean techniques in jewellery industry will be a plus
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
