- Time Inc. as a relatively new, public entity is building a team to handle accounting functions that strive to be best-in-class in their field while continuing the day-to-day collaboration with their Finance and other business partners.

- In addition to leveraging our scale and creating standardization, accountability and consolidation, we continue to ensure that we have a strong control environment which supports segregation of duties.

- As we work through the overall Time Inc. transformation, we are building an accounting team, which working with our Finance colleagues as one community protecting the fiduciary concerns of the company, and partnering with the business operators to achieve outstanding results.

- The Central Finance team is seeking a Assistant Manager with a strong understanding of US GAAP, excellent people management skills, and experience working in a global shared service center. This individual will be responsible for partnering with the US based process owners, performing month end close activities and providing effective leadership for a team of resources in India.

- The position will be leading a team in India of approximately 5 resources and would need to be client management focused, a hands-on- leader, and highly motivated to identify and drive change.

- Candidates applying for the position must be self-motivated with a strong background in financial accounting, and record to report processes. Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills are required.

Job Responsibilities :

- Perform monthly close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting of actual balances.

- Experience in Offshoring Accounting functions, supporting a large US based company.

- Provide project support on strategic initiatives and manage periodic reporting deliverables.

- Analyze existing processes and identify, recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies.

- Assist Manager with oversight of new process transitions, hiring and retention activities.

- Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as required.

Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to apply advanced concepts and policies.

- Proficient with Excel (formulas, pivot tables, etc.); familiarity with PeopleSoft Financials a plus.

- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of personnel and management.

- Ability to work on multiple assignments in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment.

- Excellent analytical skills, comfort with financial details, as well as, big picture issues.

- Solutions oriented-problem solver.

- Strong customer and team management focus.

- CA or CPA or relevant accounting certification with work experience in a financial role.

- 4+ years of experience working with accounting and general ledger related responsibilities.

Mandatory for the role :

- CA with 4+yrs of post qualification

- Strong exposure in General Ledger and Advanced Excel

- Excellent communication Skills

- Should be willing to work in 3:00PM - 12:00PM shifts
