Job Description: Senior Compensation Analyst

Reporting to the Director, Global Compensation Design, the Senior Compensation Analyst will assist in the design and development of Enterprise wide Thomson Reuters incentive programs (non sales). As a key resource within the Design and Analytics team, the Senior Compensation Analyst will support the design of Incentive Compensation programs to align the Company's strategic goals with competitive pay practices. The incumbent will serve as a consultant to internal Rewards customers regarding incentive plans and structures.

Day to Day Responsibilities

- Contributes to the design, development, management, communication, training and distribution of incentive programs

- Analyzes compensation data and studies labour market trends to use in making decisions regarding future incentive practices

- Performs modelling of data to determine various outcomes and develop budgeting scenarios

- Completes salary surveys to assess internal data against competitive market levels

- Provides recommendations for Incentive Targets and Pay Mix to remain competitive and consistent with corporate pay philosophy

- Utilizes HRIS system and excel extensively to create a variety of sophisticated reports

- Ensures compliance to incentive plan guidelines and policies through reports and consultation with the business

- Assists in the communication of compensation philosophy and plans

Required Skills

- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures related to analytics, incentives and compensation theory

- Experience working on an international scale

- Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for identifying solutions

- Able to assess data/trends to assist building business cases for recommendations

- Strong focus on service excellence, working collaboratively with Rewards Teams and managers to provide consultation and resources to assist in decision making

- An open communication style, able to convey policies effectively

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy; skilled in manipulating data; ability to work within a deadline driven environment

- Commercial acumen and understanding of finance/corporate planning processes.

- Ability to maintain a high degree of sensitivity and exercise discretion in regards to confidential material

- Contributor to team success. Ability to be flexible to new and expanding responsibilities and roles desired

Educational Qualifications

- Four to Six years in a Compensation Analyst role

- Degree in Human Resources or related field
