JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Analysts are primarily responsible for independent research, analysis and preparation of responses to client inquiries based on primary and secondary research relative to the HR. They apply well-honed consulting, project management and functional skills in the management of major client inquiries and short term projects. The Senior Analyst is expected to provide externally facing, client-ready responses to inquiries involving minimal review from Practice Leader and other team members. The senior analyst work product will provide a clear response to each request, a summary of pertinent findings, combining empirical data, best practices insights and case studies, along with any summarized pertinent information. Further, Senior Analysts are involved in supporting Practice Leaders, Research Directors and Senior Business Advisors in their research and consulting projects on a regular basis.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Research

- Use secondary as well as Hackett proprietary research to answer client inquiries

- Act as a Functional Expert in reviewing deliverables

- Analyze the data gathered to extract pertinent information to answer the request

- Inquiry response should provide a summary of the pertinent data encountered throughout the research, not only a listing of the research

- Should have command of all secondary research tools including: (Hoovers, OneSource, Capital IQ, and function specific tools & others)

- Should have command of all HACKETT research tools including Mindshare, client portal and file manager

- Ongoing understanding of the Hackett published research to be leveraged throughout response preparation

- Independently conduct pre-research in anticipation of virtual and in person events to support advisory team in preparation of deliverables

- Provide proactive support to Senior Research Director regarding upcoming research publications and performance studies design.

- Ownership of deliverables going out from Functional team to clients

- Prioritization of Requests by maintaining proper communication with internal client

Functional Responsibility

- Thorough understanding and knowledge of the functional area & processes

- Support client projects with high quality client deliverables

- Ensure Turn Around Time (TAT) targets for all requests are met

- Interact with other team members to derive pertinent information for the request (QA team and other GRC functional experts)

Team Coordination

- Providing solution implementation assistance as required

- Participate in all internal advisory team calls and provide analysis on inquiry response efforts

- Prepare quarterly analysis on inquiry efforts to Practice Leader with recommendations for improvement on process and content

- Managing client relationships and reporting project progress

- Mentoring, Training & Coaching, Developing and Supervising the efforts of junior staff
Operations / MIS

- Regularly monitor progress of the project, identify problem areas with regard tow.r.t capacity and skills available and work on finding solutions

- Clearly communicate with the Practice Leader and Advisory team members approach that will be taken to answer the request

- Early communication to Practice Leader and advisory team members on obstacles in identification of response elements

Initiatives

- Functional development within a given process

- Creative approach to request resolution (partnering with QA to work on additional data cut etc.)

- Prepare master decks as seen pertinent based on high frequency of topical requests

- Regularly identify new areas requiring expertise building

- Organize existing content and intellectual capital and highlight gaps

REQUIRED SKILLS

- 4 -10 years previous consulting experience in HR

- Advanced level of maturity in understanding HR concepts and processes clearly evidenced by previous job experience

- Must be an MBA from a leading Business school

- Should have excellent verbal and written English communication skills

- Must possess excellent presentation skills including the ability to summarize key concepts in executive one page format

- Should have the ability to summarize research and create a succinct and targeted response

- Should have sound client management experience

- Should have excellent MS-Office skills

- Should have mastery of MS PowerPoint

- Any graphical software experience preferred

- Previous research publication (or documented contribution to) experience preferred
