TESCO - Manager/Senior Manager - Controls & Compliance - CA (5-15 yrs)
This role mainly requires performing control self-assessments for the business unit and liaising with multiple stakeholders across different teams & location. It is a great opportunity for someone to drive the controls agenda for Tesco's UK business by multiple means i.e., control self-assessments, process reviews, continuous monitoring, balance sheet analysis and governance etc. We are looking for highly driven individuals who can manage end- to- end deliverables as agreed with stakeholders.
Operations:
- Perform control self-assessments as a Control Champion as per the timetable
- Assess financial control activities for design and operational effectiveness against control objectives and work with the teams to arrive at the right next steps in order to mitigate the risks
- As part of continuous monitoring of accounts and processes, perform reconciliation reviews to identify gaps and agree next steps with the process owner
- Drive balance sheet pack preparation and governance process periodically
People:
- Work with colleagues from various teams and geographies to achieve the deliverables
- Manage performance and upskill colleagues who directly report into the role by identifying training needs, giving the right exposure to the colleague in line with their career aspirations, having regular one-on-ones with the colleague etc.
- Play the role of a coach/mentor/guide wherever required in order to develop and maintain relationships
Desired qualifications:
- C.A qualified preferred with 5- 10 years of post qualification experience
- M.Com/M.BA (Finance) - 10-15 years of relevant experience
