More information can be found at www.technoserve.org.  - TechnoServe in India typically focuses on agricultural value chain development, social entrepreneurship and innovative partnership models to enhance livelihood opportunities for the poor.  - The India operations have grown at an exponential pace over the past ten years and have to its credit some path-breaking work, executed across various states in India, including North East, Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Karnataka etc.  Position Description :  - The vacancy announcement is being advertised with reference to implementation of a technical assistance project with JEEViKA (SRLM unit in Bihar) on strengthening producer organizations through value chain intervention. The objective of the program is to improve economic outcomes of the smallholder farmers (SHFs) through the support and development of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and the JEEViKA resources in the project implementation area.   - To increase income, TechnoServe will work with farmers through their FPOs to provide individual bank accounts and implement a cashless digital transfer facility- this will ring-fence project income transfers. The leadership councils will facilitate discussion within the community to work on the behavioral dynamics.  Some of the specific tasks for the position are as follows:  - Directly responsible for operational management of the program to support agriculture and rural livelihoods and food security in several districts of Bihar  - Prepare, in coordination with key project staff, strategic operational plans with clear objectives and achievement benchmarks, long-term and short-term priorities, implementation plans, financial projections and tools for evaluation  - Provide financial and technical management to ensure the best use of resources by preparing sound budgets, monitoring project expenses and ensuring timely submission of financial reports  - Manage external relations by representing the project and the organization in the public and ensuring the distribution of information about project achievements and lessons learned   - Lead the development of business models and plans to enable program beneficiaries to access finance through various donor-supported sources and financial partners  - Work with project management teams to facilitate increased participation in the project activities and to ensure that the benefits of the project accrue equitably to men and women in the community  - Work with the monitoring team to ensure a robust mechanism is in place to measure the participation and benefits   - Engage with JEEViKA Social sector expert for rolling out the Agri-crop interventions  - Establish and nurture strong trading relationships among all value chain actors  - Promote inclusive innovation and adoption of best practices   Key requirements:   - Minimum of 10-12 years of hands-on experience in working with developmental intervention with a gender inclusion focus;   - Demonstrated capability to manage large implementation projects and successful management of client;  - Demonstrated experience in successful development of business models and plans for smallholder farmers and SMEs and support to launch of entrepreneurial ventures   - Prior experience in contributing to a multidimensional team with exposure to market and value chain analysis   - Strong analytical abilities (both quantitative and qualitative) and report-writing skills  - Minimum of Master's degree in Business, Economics, Development Work, Gender Development or a related field  - Fluency in Hindi is mandatory  Application Instructions :  Qualified and interested applicants should submit a word-formatted/pdf single document that includes a cover letter, resume and salary history
