Technical Program Manager - Online/Retail

Roles & Responsibilities:

In this role, you will identify opportunities to drive innovative product and program enhancements which improve the customer experience, creating more value for increased customer activation and site monetization.

- Reviews product metrics and performs appropriate analyses to provide data for driving improvements and enhancements to the product.

- Develops models too quickly and accurately test and measure new ideas to determine effectiveness

- Anticipates bottlenecks, provides escalation management, and makes tradeoffs by balancing the business needs against technical constraints.

- Identifies, assesses, tracks and mitigates issues and risks at multiple levels.

- Creates, maintains and disseminates project information to stakeholders in a concise, accurate, and professional manner

- Works with development and operations managers to ensure that the teams meet product and process launch deadlines. Holds himself/herself and tech and operations teams accountable to product/process delivery dates

- Interacts with multiple business, technical and operations teams to define and drive improvements to existing product features and processes, as well as to define and deliver new, complex features/products

- Designs product requirements based on business and technical needs, write product/process specifications, and drives product/process development.

Desired Skills and Experience:

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required. An MBA is desirable.

- Experience in technical program management is required; experience in the online marketing /advertising industry is desired

- A solid CS foundation, including experience in a software engineering role.

- Strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.

- A solid experience and track record of successful system implementations utilizing multiple project management methodologies, tools and techniques.

- A strong familiarity with agile methodologies is a plus

- An ability to conduct and/or oversee user interface design, usability testing, requirements definition, research, metrics analysis, technical specifications, development, testing, and launch efforts.

- Sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong technical acumen, and strong analytical thinking skills

- A willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues to develop and maintain the skills necessary to manage and advocate products and projects
