Technical Director - Bank

We have Technical Director opening for a Multinational Bank located in Pune.

Key activities and responsibilities

- Develop, govern and communicate Digital IT Architecture strategy within a particular area including APIs, Real-Time Analytics, Digital Marketing, CRM, Digital Data Strategy and Application development

- Be a thought leader in the digital architecture space, collaborate closely with the head of enterprise architecture, chief architects of other domains to align digital architecture vision with the rest of the group

- Attract, hire, coach and mentor solution architects in the digital space, be the go to person in the digital architecture

- Use your digital acumen to influence effectively across the organization to shape the digital strategy and vision for the business including next generation products.

- work closely with marketing and product management across all digital products

- create a strategic vision for the user experience; facilitate the creation of cutting-edge, high-performing designs that scale both on-premise and in the cloud; and for providing leadership in new technologies within the digital space

- Provides architecture and technology leadership across a range of digital technologies including but not limited to Web, mobile, wearable, cloud, big data, Web Content Management, and Digital Marketing

- Build relationships across all levels and functions of the organization

- Govern the technical and architectural integrity of the digital solutions

- Study market trends and industry best practices to architect the appropriate end-to-end technology solutions

Management of Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)

The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation. This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviours required to support the Best Place to Bank principles of Make Better Products, Sell Them Properly and Keep Them Sold.

The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

This will be achieved by ensuring all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring.

Also by addressing any areas of concern in conjunction with line management and/or the appropriate department.

Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)

The jobholder will also adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.

The jobholder will implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Global Head of Compliance, Global Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term - compliance- embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply.

This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with the Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
