Project Manager - Business Intelligence ( Urgent Position )

Role Purpose :

The purpose of the role is to lead & manage projects & delivery in the technology space ensuring on-time and on-budget quality deliverables across multiple technology projects/ products in the Business Intelligence technologies.

Manage people, driving process and Technology while taking responsibility for client (internal and external) interfaces. Work with relevant stakeholders and build strong relationship.

Principal Accountabilities :

Solution Support :

- Participate in solution design and recommending best-fit technology solutions for opportunities across multiple technologies/ platforms

- Ensure accurate effort estimation and pricing of projects and resource planning and deployment

Engagement Support :

- Align with the global services organization and build the offshore teams to support the Business Units accordingly

- Provide strategic direction towards deployment and delivery of core framework and application modules

- Provide strategic direction for the team towards latest technology trends and best practices to improve quality and team productivity.

Project Management :

- Manage multiple projects if required including operations projects

- Identify, recommend and implement longer-term solution strategies for visible and latent onshore stakeholders challenges and opportunities

- Highlight all potential risks in the engagements. Implements risk mitigation efforts across projects

- Ensure appropriate resource allocation across projects and effective utilization

- Conducts formal review meetings and publishing of regular project review meetings

- Adherence to delivery excellence / WOW(Ways of Working) framework

Project Delivery :

- Ensure on-time execution and delivery of all projects

- Ensure appropriate resource allocation across projects and effective utilization

- Ensure that the products / projects delivered meet high quality standards.

- Manage client projects and customization needs

- Maintains a hands-on approach to execution and delivery of technology projects.

- Supervises and guides team members with appropriate technology approaches

Stakeholder Management/Client Relationship :

- Handles relations and project deliverables including face to face presentations where required

- Undertakes periodic reviews with clients/ onshore stakeholders, ensures that issues / escalations are addressed

- Experience in presales and proposals would be good to have

Team Management :

- Manage utilization and being part of recruitment and selection efforts for the team when required

- Motivate, enthuse and energize the team and drive them to excellence

- Drive a culture of positive attitude within the team

- Is responsible for communication, grievance redressal within ones project/team. Resolves team conflict and maintains a productive team climate

- Report consolidated activity status on a weekly basis to the stakeholders and management

- Identify and drive development areas and training needs for the team.

Profile :

- Minimum of 7+years experience in IT industry.

- Minimum experience of 2 years in managing program/projects.

- Manage large teams and building expertise and capability.

- Must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment.

- Creative problem-solver who works well both independently and as part of a team; able to foster and develop others' ideas as well as his/her own.

- Must be a"self-starter" as well as work in a group project environment.

- Must be able to organize, prioritize and schedule a workload efficiently.

- Detail oriented and able to coordinate work streams for on-time, on-budget delivery while ensuring project details are accounted for and acted upon

- Able to provide excellent verbal and written communication between customer, manager and project team members in a matrix-managed environment.

- Able to work within deadlines, ensuring both timely, cost-effective delivery and customer satisfaction.

- Effective meeting facilitation and presentation skills.

- Must have strong technical skills (including writing Proposals and Solution design).

- Full understanding of the Software Development Life cycle.
