TCS - Big Data SME Data Scientist

Role:

- To design and develop analytical solutions to derive business insights and solve operational and strategic problems for manufacturing clients in Auto, Aero, Industrial and Process verticals across the value chain.

Required Technical Skill Set:

- Experience with machine learning, text mining, or natural language processing

Must-Have:

- MTech / MBA / other PG degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Manufacturing Operations Management

- Ability to manipulate, integrate, and analyze large and complex data sets

- Knowledge of Big Data technologies, including Mahout

- Knowledge of statistical or mathematical analysis techniques, including classification, regression, optimization, and simulation

- Experience with statistical analysis software, including SAS or R

- Experience with analytical models for business problems in Manufacturing industry

Good-to-Have:

- Experience with Manufacturing data sets from ERP, CRM, PLM, MES

- Ability to communicate technical concepts and solutions to clients and internal teams

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role:

- Interpret and translate client requirements into a complete solution with application blueprint.

- Articulate the pros and cons of various options

- Lead a technical team of developers for ontime delivery in various project execution methodologies

- Work with Architects and Business Analyst to ensure the delivery of rich insights from in-depth analysis of data from multiple sources with various techniques

- Contribute to solution development

- Engage in consulting engagements at client location

- Provide thought leadership to TCS business; train resources and build the practice
