Proposed Reporting Manager : Associate VP-Legal

Key Objective of the Job :

- Sound knowledge of infra projects especially power projects (renewable sector), road projects and ports

Major Deliverables :

- Drafting & Vetting of loan and security documents pertaining to infra projects.

- Handling the complete litigation matter.

- Liasoning and developing contacts with lawyers and law firms in the various locations where projects are being implemented.

- Knowledge of SARFAESI

- Liasoning with Borrowers.

- Knowledge on leasing business.

- Knowledge management pertaining to various new laws, amendments, case laws etc. and circulating the same for the benefit of stakeholders.

- Conducting training sessions alongwith Reporting Manager for the benefit of stakeholders.

- Restructuring of loans either bilateral or with CDR.

Specialized job competencies :

- Understanding of both procedural and substantive laws and legal aspects pertaining to Infra Projects.

- Laws pertaining to enforcement of securities including mortgages, pledges, hypothecation and any other security.

- Laws pertaining to restructuring, sale & purchase of distressed assets.

- Good contacts with lawyers/law firms & law enforcement agencies.

- A system & process oriented approach.

- Should set excellent standards for himself/herself.

- Good team player.

- Should be open to new ideas and bring Best Practices to the organization

- Computer literate in MS Office.

- Proficient in both spoken and written English/Hindi. Proficiency in any other language would be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification :

- LLB / LLM

Desired Experience :

- Experience in drafting, vetting, litigation, Legal & Recovery teams pertaining to Infra Project business in NBFCs or Banks and experience in handling arbitrations, winding up, SARFAESI.

- Experience in restructuring of distressed loan accounts.

Location / s :

- Based at Mumbai but will need to travel.
