Job Description & Role Summary:
- Handle Financial Reporting as per Regulators requirement
- Co-ordinating with auditors during audits and limited reviews.
- Framing and reviewing of accounting policies and principles in line with the regulatory as well as Institute guidelines
- Adhering to timelines for closing books of accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, post passing all necessary closing entries.
- Reviewing provisions for expenses, expense trending and explanation of variances.
- Scrutiny of Balance Sheet ledger accounts, review of necessary account schedules and identification of exceptional items, if any, to be tabled to the reporting supervisor
- Accounting for fixed assets and depreciation; exercising the necessary controls over fixed assets.
- Handling routine and adhoc reporting requirements of IRDA, local management or parent companies.
- Preparations of Board / Audit Committee presentations on Financial performance
- Review of transactions with related parties and other group companies and reporting in accordance with accounting standards and IRDA requirements.
- Review and presentation of Financial Dashboard to Senior Management
- Review and presentation of Industry comparatives on Financial parameters to Senior Management
Technical:
- Strong Knowledge of Accounting, Accounting Standards
- Fair Knowledge of Insurance Regulations
- Knowledge of Compliance Regulations
- Working knowledge in SAP
Qualification:
- CA with 10 years of post qualification experience
- Insurance industry knowledge will be an added advantage
