Each month, one out of every two American adults reads a Time Inc. magazine, and one out of every seven who are online visits the company Web site.  Title: Senior Research Analyst (Business Research) – TAS Analytic Services  Position Statement:  - To support the business research function for specific advertising categories & brands and assist the U.S. based sales & marketing teams in crafting compelling brand strength stories to generate business for the organization. Also, provide day-to-day support on all output in the department.  Key Responsibilities:  - Track and create documents on the current and future trends affecting the advertising industry landscape in the U.S market. This includes an in-depth analysis of business-critical industries and important advertisers – including market sizing, multi-media advertising spend analysis, uncovering trends and opportunities; and creating company profiles and overviews.  - Independently manage complex and challenging secondary research assignments. Develop and maintain strong, ongoing, productive working relationship with relevant stakeholder(s) for the provision of research support services.   - Participate in regular telephonic discussions and meetings to understand and interpret requirements to deliver research documents and insights, ensuring client satisfaction.  - Manage the fulfillment of the research portion of Request for Proposals (RFP) and syndicated data requests for specific business categories  - Support the brand teams with weekly ad effectiveness reports  - Support network on special projects (corporate and brand initiatives)  Skills & Experience:  - Must have (Technical): Highly analytical, visualization of data knowledge/experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.)  - Must have (Non-Technical): Excellent communication skills, conceptual thinking and ideation skills, Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, good communication skills, relationship building, excellent presentation skills  - Candidate must be very responsive, an enthusiastic creative thinker and team player with a solid knowledge of marketing and the media business  - Good to have (Technical/Non Technical): Experience with Digital tools (comScore, Omniture, etc.), Statistical knowledge, Understanding of Publishing, Advertising, Media and Digital functions, Knowledge of ad sales, media research across multiple platforms  Background  - Bachelors (4+ Years Experience) OR MBAs (2+ Years Experience)  - Prior experience in conducting secondary research on any major industries (Automotive, Telecom, Finance, Food and Beverages, Beauty/Fashion, etc.) within the U.S market. Hand-on experience working on secondary research tools and databases.  - Good to have: MBA, Advertising/Media/Marketing background (in MBA or experience or both), experience working with English-speaking clientele in a clear and professional manner, strong understanding of U.S market/experience, exposure to American pop culture and advertising trends for major brands/advertisers , studied in U.S.
