Purpose :

- Act as a core team member of the global Finished Product Processing (FPP) / Field Production (FP) Center of Expertise (CoE) team within company.

- Lead and execute agreed high priority cost efficiency projects within FP & FPP

- Lead and/or support of allocated initiatives across the 4 core CoE pillars

Functional competencies :

- Build Operational Excellence capability into FPP / FP by focusing on bringing the methodology (and application) into targeted company facilities & high priority company projects.

- Help implement a culture change of sustainable continuous improvement (through embedding Operational Excellence principles) by coaching of company leaders and their respective teams

About this Job :

- Delivery of allocated cost efficiency projects (and/or CoE initiatives) on time to target and within budget

- Support the Site, Crop or local FP/FPP Leadership teams in the definition and delivery of improvement projects & objectives in support of the overall P&S strategy

- As a key member of the core CoE team deploy Operational Excellence into priority areas in the company:

- Act as a key project team member to deliver OPEX methodology (& associated techniques) across a set of priority Syngenta facilities (and/or) projects, building capability and a culture of Operation Excellence within the organization via a coaching methodology and ensuring the delivery of agreed interventions on time, to target and within budget.

- Become proficient in Operational Excellence methodology and techniques personally as part of an agreed self-development plan.

- Coach company leaders and their teams in Operational Excellence.

- Communicate and champion the use of company Operational Excellence approach (and techniques) in establishing a sustainable continuous improvement culture across FP & FPP.

- Promoting CoE brand through building a strong network and relationship with stakeholders

- Support the development of a CoE community in a given region through building a strong network base with peers and other sites / locations, to include

- Sharing of best practices and the implementation of sound OPEX techniques Coaching and associated training

Qualifications :

Essential Knowledge & Experience :

- 7 to 10 years manufacturing or Field production experience

- Delivery of continuous improvement or similar project related activities (including the ability to prioritize, plan, organize and monitor multiple concurrent activities) in order to meet agreed timelines and budget.

- 3 to 5 years experience in the execution of LEAN / Six Sigma methodology (including the use of any associated statistical software)

- Experience in delivery of projects or initiatives where they have no direct line management accountability (including cross function, cross location)

- Experience beneficial (but not mandatory) in delivering Operational Excellence or Change Transformation programmes.

- Data and process driven

- Proven record in the application & execution of project and/or programme management

- Hands on knowledge & experience in Process unit operations, Seeds Production and/or Seeds Processing activities

- Strong capability to develop, coach & teach others in delivering change

- Fluent in English, any additional language will be highly beneficial for work with teams having other native language

Preferred Knowledge & Experience :

- Recognized accreditation in LEAN or 6 Sigma methodologies (black belt level or above preferred)

Qualifications :

- Bachelor degree or equivalent in either

- Engineering (or similar technical field)

- Agronomy, Seed Science,

Additional Information :

- Must be mobile to travel and may be required to execute delivery of project / initiatives across a range of different locations

- Must be able to influence and successfully deliver across a wide range of international cultures

- Role can be considered as a mid term career development opportunity and does not necessarily require permanent transfer into the CoE function
