Syngene - Head - Corporate Communications (12-15 yrs)

Job Purpose:

- The Head of Corporate Communications is a pivotal member of the Syngene Corporate communication team, with responsibility to direct, lead and develop the company’s strategic internal and external communications activity and enhance the company’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

To lead the Corporate Communication practice for Syngene.

- Engage in enhancing Syngene Brand Value through effective Media Relations, Corporate Brand Management and Social Media Management.

- Responsible for Corporate Brand Management and Corporate Communications including external and internal communication.

- Steering the brand communication strategy at the group level, enhancing the overall brand value.

- To oversee all internal and external communication for Syngene, including employee and executive communication, media, product publicity, and issues management.

- To develop employee and executive communication, and partner with HR as appropriate to create and deliver employee communication to align workforce with business goals, and oversees execution of communication, including leadership and all employee meetings, employee publications, speeches for President,

- To develop communication strategies and oversee execution to effectively position Syngene.

- To anticipate, identify and effectively manages external issues with the potential to impact Syngene reputation.

- To coordinate external communication with business partners to ensure consistency.

- To develop and execute internal and external communication for business-related agreements, such as licensing and acquisitions.

- To oversee development and execution of the internal portal.

- To develop the Internal / External communication strategies and drive enterprise wide communication campaigns Design and implement the required communication materials for the organization

- Manage the budget, Media networking, Internal branding, Employee communication, event management

- To develop and manage content for internal communication tools such as intranet, employee gatherings, internal mails Newsletters etc. Put in place systems for measuring communications effectiveness

- To support advocacy, campaign & fundraising initiatives.

- To conceptualize, strategize and manage large public marketing endeavors and events

- Manage media relations and ensure publicity/visibility of Syngene campaigns and events in India and International media.

- Work with various Programme Managers and Officers, to identify priority themes and develop advocacy messages, press briefings, news features, case studies and other communication material for dissemination through mass media.

- Developing all the media, publicity, marketing & fundraising messages and the communication material around them.

- To organize press conferences, media briefings, visit of press reporters to program locations to highlight Syngene ‘s priorities and campaign messages.

- Use available information to estimate Syngene brand recognition in India and identify the most suitable market segments.

- Lead & manage the Communications Team.

- Events Management.

Requirements:

- Education Requirements: Post Graduate with professional qualifications in Mass Communication and/or Management.

Work Experience:

- Around 12 -15 years of relevant experience with significant experience in challenging, fast-paced business environment.

- Strong experience working with media and managing marketing communication.

- Extensive experience working with senior management/business leaders a must. Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.
