Division: Information Services  Job title: IS Manager, Corporate Services  Function: IS - Shared Services  Percent of travel: 10%  Location: (City, State and /or Country) SGTC, India   People manager: Yes  Reports to: IS Sr. Manager, Platforms CoE  Position summary:   The position holds responsibility for ensuring service excellence with technology services provided to HR, Finance, Legal, and Compliance. The scope of responsibilities spans all activities in the service lifecycle from conception to retirement for applications that provide services to the identified business functions. Responsibilities also include building and leading a team to perform with excellence in all areas of the service lifecycle. Team leadership will involve setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and ensuring the growth of team members through focused development plans.  Essential duties & responsibilities: (detailed description)  Team Leadership  Hire, grow, engage, and promote strong talent  Establish and maintain a clear team vision  Create a clear strategy, with full team alignment, for executing the team vision  Continuously confirm clarity of expectations   Provide continuous feedback that clearly establishes areas of strength and opportunity  Market the team through regular, succinct communication of team accomplishments  Work closely with Service Leads to fulfill responsibilities related to operations, governance, project intervention, and SDLC as defined below:  Operations  Ensure excellence in process execution across all operational processes (e.g., incident, problem, change, configuration, etc.) related to the service.  Continuously improve the customer experience by maturing operations through automation, self-service, and shift-left approaches.  Track licensing, users and usage levels to ensure continuous compliance with contractual agreements and efficient use of the service per funded usage levels.  Ensure monitoring of services and related aspects of the service offering (e.g., support procedures) is in place to proactively identify and remediate issues and achieve delivery of service excellence.  Solicit and monitor customer feedback and respond with actions that drive continuous improvement.   Ensure documentation that is relevant to the service is maintained in a meaningful and accessible manner. This includes system documentation, requirements and test scripts, knowledge articles, and configuration and organizational information, emergency contacts/call lists, etc.  Governance   Monitor vendor performance against agreed expectations (i.e., contract)  Quarterly vendor meetings to review expectations and performance  Lead efforts to rebuff contracts with adjusted expectations as appropriate  Establish and monitor service KPIs. Publish metrics to IS leadership and service stakeholders. Review performance, issues, roadmap, and other relevant details on a routine (quarterly at a minimum) basis.  Project intervention  Maintain awareness of pending and active projects that may or will impact the HR/Finance team or services.  Champion service and support preparation and initialization in projects. Push for quick adoption of project execution strategies that produce highly maintainable services with low TCO. This includes:  Ensuring a robust SDLC is followed (see SDLC)  Critical documentation is made available, maintained, and made accessible to pertinent audiences  Support and maintenance tools and resources are budgeted and provisioned/acquired  A priority is placed on targeting self-service and service desk as fulfillment options for support activities where possible  Routine maintenance activities are minimized or automated  Minimize build-to-run transition by ensuring a customer experience centered approach to the service design and delivery.  SDLC   Ensure requirements and test scripts are clearly documented in clear, meaningful language, well organized for continuous maintenance for the life of the service, and accessible by relevant support resources.  Ensure source code and other solution artifacts are stored in a versioned repository.  Ensure design and code reviews are executed to confirm adherence to quality standards.  Ensure due consideration is given to implement automated build, deployment, and test activities. Where automation is not tenable, ensure justification is documented with any plans and timelines to remediate.  Education & special training:  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent  ITIL, SCRUM, LEAN certification(s) desired  Excellent understanding of service management practices for enterprise services and SaaS offerings  Investment in continued education desired  Qualifications & experience:  Minimum of 10 years- relevant work experience, at least of 5 of which working within a Global IS/Software Services Delivery structure and leading a team  Hands-on experience with development tools, technologies, and practices (e.g., Java J2EE, C#/ASP .NET, Team Foundation Server, GIT/SVN, continuous deployment) are required  Hands-on experience with Service Management/Incident Management/Problem Ticketing technologies (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, etc.) is required  Demonstrated experience building strong teams achieving process excellence  Experience with development practices and leading operations team is required  Physical & mental requirements:   Excellent verbal and written communication skills   Ability to understand, analyze and report on financial data  Proven ability to build team cohesion and motivate people  Self-motivated and organized with a strong desire to succeed  High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing for priorities simultaneously   Excellent problem solving and risk mitigation skills  Proactive and able to act with a sense of urgency as required  Strong people management skills with proven ability and enthusiasm to lead, motivate, inspire, develop, and encourage people   Strong project and program management skills, including planning, prioritizing and organizing work, tracking budgets and meeting deadlines.   Proven track record in the planning and execution of projects  Strong business acumen   Ability to work independently and in a team environment  Flexibility and dedication in acquiring new responsibilities and skills  To be applied only by women candidates
