Strategy Consultant - Supply Chain Transformation (5-10 yrs)

Role:

Strategy Consultant - Supply Chain Transformation:

- Helps clients set, refine or develop business strategy in targeted areas or across the whole Supply Chain. Supply Chain Strategy focuses on identifying and quantifying supply chain improvements and assisting clients in transforming their operations, from suppliers to the ultimate client, to enable real strategic change and competitive advantage.

- Works with clients to refine their current business strategy or develop a new strategy in line with competitive and market forces.

- This role focuses on Supply Chain Operations which provides organizations with the ability to recognize operational improvements across many areas of their value chain including customer service, product quality, cycle time, asset utilization. This Service Area formulates long term supply chain strategies encompassing infrastructure, assets, organization, processes and technology.

Responsibilities:

- Understand the existing business process and recommend process improvements based on the industry leading practices

- Analyse the clients’ business requirements to arrive at solution options and create solution roadmaps for implementations.

- Enable client to effectively articulate business requirements and provide partnership for successful project implementation.

- Lead end-to-end project delivery and work closely with client's multi-location team and stakeholders

- Develop supply chain optimisation models using package solutions like ILOG to answer targeted business questions.

- Analyse and interpret optimisation results and derive insights; consult the client

- Continuously update knowledge and be updated on industry trends on a pro- active basis

Skills:

Technical Skills:

- Strong understanding of Supply chain design, lever and metrics involved. (An understanding and knowledge of critical Distribution and Supply Chain concepts that includes network optimization and balancing; multi-echelon and hub & spoke distribution; workload distribution/redistribution; cross-docking; reverse logistics; distribution center operations; multi-vendor consolidation; and performance metrics) . Minimum relevant experience 4+ years for 7A and Minimum Experience 6+ years for 7B

- Understanding of supply chain planning at strategic, tactical and operational level Minimum relevant experience 4+ years for 7A and Minimum Experience 6+ years for 7B

- Working knowledge in implementing product-mix optimisation, price optimisation and strategic network design. Fundamental understanding of science behind optimization. Minimum Relevant experience (user and/or consulting) of 1+ year

- Advanced data analysis skills including MS Access, Excel, preferably SQL knowledge.

- Basic understanding of statistics with working knowledge of one of the statistical package SAS, SPSS.
Minimum Relevant experience (user and/or consulting) of 1+ year

- Possess Sound functional and business process conceptual skills. Minimum relevant experience 4+ years for 7A and Minimum Experience 6+ years for 7B

Business Skills:

- Should have strong business process knowledge and experience in Manufacturing / Planning / Procurement /Logistics domain

- Sound Knowledge of pre-sales work & proposal development & review.

- Expert level proficiency in Office utility tools like MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Blueworks etc)

Human Skills:

- Adaptability & collaborative mindset.

- Excellent communication & Presentation Skills.

- Proven ability to lead project teams. Excellent team management skills.

- Ability to work in a minimally supervised environment with self initiative

Qualification:

- First Preference: Engineering graduates with a Post graduation (MBA) with Operations specialization

- Industrial Qualification: Supply Chain Certifications desirable (APICS, SCOR etc)
