Strategy Consultant - Operations Strategy - Lean/Six Sigma

Role:

- Assists in the creation of an organization’s Vision and Blueprint, and optimizing operations and processes according to the company strategy.

- Helps clients define and outline a process led roadmap to achieve their vision. Leverage process approaches like BPM, BPR, Lean, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Target Operating Model, Shared services design in helping clients improve efficiency and effectiveness in running day-day operations.

Responsibilities:

- Work with clients across geographies and industries for Business process transformation, Business Process reengineering and Lean Six Sigma consulting projects.

- Leveraging industry best in class process frameworks like Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, DFSS, TPM, FMEA, APQC, SCOR, IBM Benchmarks to identify gaps and areas for improvement in the current processes and functions

- Work with clients, domain SME's, implementation team in building the to be processes which best meet the client's business need and aligned with client's goals and objectives

- Developing transformation roadmap along with business case development from people, process, data & architecture, technology and organization perspective.

- Carrying out Process maturity assessment and roadmap development to identify the client's current state of maturity wrt people, process & technology

- Advising Client executives on how to leverage analytics. Mobile & cloud technology to transform business function role to value integrator & trusted business advisor.

- Model processes using tools like Minitab, SPSS, ARIS, Blueworks Live, WBM, PEGA to arrive at current state and future state of processes

Skills / Technical Skills:

- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Green belt.

- Practical Lean Six Sigma experience in applying process improvement and Lean Six Sigma tools (i.e Hypothesis testing, measurement system analysis, process mapping, value stream mapping, identifying issues and eliminating waste, Design of Experiment, control charts, etc.).

- Demonstrated capability to apply Lean manufacturing, Lean six Sigma & Six Sigma Philosophy and Tools in Manufacturing & Service industry

- Imparted training on Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology

- Delivered strategic Lean Six Sigma guidance and consulting services to manufacturing and service industries

- Experience of conducting various workshops on Six Sigma , Lean Manufacturing , Lean Six Sigma, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Kaizen

- Hands-on experience on Statistical software

- Sound & expert level knowledge in doing Lean Six Sigma, Business Process reengineering, BPM Roadmap build up, Process Improvement, APQC Process framework application

- Sound & expert knowledge on application of process modeling tools like PEGA, ARIS, Blueworks Live, WBM

- Sound knowledge of KPI set up, metric based process improvement analysis and working collaboratively with clients to propose best case solution. 8+ years of total working experience

- 5+ years of Industry experience ( Banking, Telecom, Steel , Metal & Mining, Auto, C &P, Process industry - downstream & up-stream manufacturing , Retail, CPG, Other Manufacturing)

- 3+ years of consulting experience -Management consulting including BPR, BPM, Operational consulting, Lean Six Sigma Consulting, SCM consulting , Process Redesign consulting

Business Skills:

- Overall understanding of Project management, Program management & Facilitation Skills. Good communication skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills, leadership skills

- Sound knowledge of business case development for Clients. Knowledge of deal structuring & pricing considerations in consulting services is nice to have.

- Sound Knowledge of pre-sales work & proposal development & review.

- Expert level proficiency in Office utility tools like MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Blueworks etc)

- Proven ability to lead project teams. Excellent team management skills.

- Ability to work in a minimally supervised environment with self-initiative

Qualifications:

- MBA in Operations & Supply chain with Engineering background

- Process specific industry certifications like Lean Six Sigma Black belt or Green belt, exposure to process modeling tools like Pega, ARIS, Provision, Blueworks Live, Websphere Business Modeler and utilizing APQC classification and standards
