Strategy Consultant - Financial Transformation & Risk Management

Role:

Strategy Consultant - Financial Transformation:

- Assists in the creation of an organization's Finance Vision and Blueprint, and optimizing financial operations and processes according to the company strategy.

- Helps clients define and outline a roadmap to achieve their vision for the Finance function of the future.

- Helps client increase profitability through improved cost management, reduced working capital & increased asset utilization.

- Helps client select, design and implement shared services and outsourcing solutions to improve the cost and effectiveness of their operations.

Strategy Consultant - Risk Management:

- Helps CFOs and business leaders identify, assess, manage & optimize material business risks across the enterprise. Supports client initiatives around Basel II, IAS, Sarbanes-Oxley & other regulatory requirements and guidelines.

- This role provides assistance implementing financial controls and process and technology improvements. They identify best practices and client performance gaps, if any.

- This role uses tools to identify, align, and change the factors that affect performance, stability, and teaming and develops comprehensive transformation recommendations. | BRM Risk Management

Responsibilities:

- Carrying out financial process analysis through business process modeling, process mapping, benchmarking for order to cash, procure to pay, record to report, internal control & governance, corporate performance management (planning, budgeting & forecasting, close & consolidation, financial reports, dashboards & analytics) to identify areas of improvements & suggest remedies of the same.

- Carrying out Finance vision assessment, finance function health check, finance function maturity assessment in order to define organization’s finance vision, its current maturity in finance function and develop the target state finance function vision & maturity level.

- Developing finance function transformation roadmap along with business case development from people, process, data & architecture, technology and organization perspective.

- Analyzing client’s present cost structure to identify areas of cost savings, optimization & strategic profit improvement through transformational programs such as finance shared services, finance program outsourcing etc.

- Advising CFOs & senior finance executives on how to leverage analytics. Mobile & cloud technology to transform finance’s role to value integrator & trusted business advisor. Advising CFOs on transforming corporate performance management to assist insightful reporting.

- Advising CFOs & CROs on improvements in internal control & governance system. Application of Risk models through usage of advanced analytics, packaged software and algorithms. Help them implement the same by developing a functional blue print of enterprise risk management & financial risk management.

- Advising CFOs on regulatory compliance improvement such as BASEL III, Solvency II, Sarbanes Oxley etc.

- Business Development for IBM in the above mentioned fields.

Skills:

Technical Skills:

- Sound & expert level knowledge on finance process areas like Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report etc. Awareness of Business Performance Management (BPM) methods and tools. Minimum relevant experience 4+ years for 7A and Minimum Experience 6+ years for 7B

- Sound & expert knowledge on financial & other KPI development, financial reporting (including IFRS, Ind-GAAP, US GAAP, Edgar, SEC Filing) best practices thereof, technology to implement the same. Exposure to EPM processes and tools. Minimum relevant experience 4+ years for 7A and Minimum Experience 6+ years for 7B

- Working knowledge of at least one of the ERP package between Oracle Financials and/or SAP FI/CO. Minimum Relevant experience (user and/or consulting) of 1+ year

- Basic Working knowledge of at least one of the multi-dimensional database & reporting tool like Cognos BI, Hyperion Essbase & Planning, SAP BW-BPC etc. Minimum Relevant experience (user and/or consulting) of 1+ year

- Advanced & working knowledge of BASEL III, Sarbanes Oxley, Insolvency II and their implementation criteria, best practices, industry specifics etc. (For Risk Management Candidates Only)Minimum relevant experience 4+ years for 7A and Minimum Experience 6+ years for 7B

- Working knowledge of at least one of the GRC/Risk Management package like Oracle GRC, SAP GRC, Open Pages (For Risk Management Candidates Only) Minimum Relevant experience (user and/or consulting) of 1+ year

Business Skills:

- Sound knowledge of business case development for Clients. Knowledge of deal structuring & pricing considerations in consulting services is nice to have.

- Sound Knowledge of pre-sales work & proposal development & review.

- Expert level proficiency in Office utility tools like MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Blueworks etc)

- Ability to work in a minimally supervised environment with self initiative

Qualification:

- First Preference: CA/CWA/CMA/CFA/MBA-Finance with Commerce Background in Undergraduate. Sound knowledge of accounting & finance is a must and non-negotiable criteria.

- Second Preference: MBA-Finance/Operations with relevant finance process knowledge substantiated by industry experience.

Industrial Qualification: Certification in IFRS, US GAAP, Financial Risk Management (GARP FRM), SOX, NCFM etc will be added advantage.
