We provide commercial, policy and regulatory advice underpinned by the highest standards of research, forecasting and economic analysis.  Job Summary  We are looking for enthusiastic and genuinely talented graduate with a passion for mobility and transport to join our new office in India, working within the transport planning and advisory team. The ideal candidate will need to be able to provide insightful and high quality advice. Consultancy experience and relevant qualifications are also considered essential for this position.   The candidate will work with the existing India team to support the delivery of existing projects and to develop a portfolio of new transport planning and infrastructure transaction projects. The role will be a combination of working with, as well as managing project teams, and developing relationships with existing and new clients. You will also be expected to work effectively with - virtual- project teams across our international offices and be able to travel in India and overseas if required.  Key Responsibilities  The key activities and accountabilities will depend on the specific work area, however all Consultants will be expected to:  - To learn specific processes and applications to be able to deliver on project work effectively  - To be able to meet all Balanced Score Card targets and objectives set  - To broaden and deepen their own skill set in order to improve their marketability to our clients   - To be able to contribute to effective team performance both individually and by making suggestions.  - To manage and drive their own career path and network  - To take a proactive role in participating in region/office, company and graduate events  - To provide technical expertise where necessary  Education Requirements  Educated to Degree level - 2:1 (or equivalent) from the following disciplines:  - Economics, Maths, Operational Research, Engineering or other numerate subject; or  - Transport Planning, Geography, or other transport-related subject.  - An engineering degree from reputed institute (IIT/NIT) would be an advantage   Experience Requirements & Personal Characteristics  - Client liaison - ability to communicate effectively with clients both over the telephone and face to face   - Project management and delivery - Ability to deliver good quality work within the appropriate timeframes  - Commercial awareness - demonstrates intelligent understanding of the transport sector  - Communication - understands own behaviour and impact on others, backs up opinions with well-constructed, evidenced arguments.   - Analytical skills - supports development of analytical frameworks, undertakes analytical work with limited supervision, makes sensible judgments on the basis of the available information  - Writing and reporting - writes clearly, succinctly and accurately  - Self- management - ability to deliver good quality work within the appropriate timeframes   - Technical skills - ability to learn quickly  - Ability to use Microsoft packages, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook  - Fluency in additional languages (besides English) is desirable
