If so, we think you'd be a perfect match for us.  Stayzilla is one of India's fastest growing start-ups in the travel industry, that is led by a visionary founder and backed by some of India's best-known investors.  We are looking for a rock star data artisan to work with cross-functional teams to frame business challenges & opportunities from a data perspective to lead data-driven decisions.  Working closely with the Head of Analytics as a founding member of the team, you will help build the vision for the team.  Among others things, you will ensure capture of the right data, develops algorithms, performs analyses, and makes recommendations to lead data-driven decisions in product design, development, marketing, sales, and customer service.  Roles and Responsibilities:  - Work with teams across business functions to understand challenges, and design data driven solutions to optimize and improve performance  - Use data to identify gaps and opportunities across business functions  - Define key trends, KPIs to communicate to the senior management and other functions  - Develop robust and accurate processes to communicate the same periodically  - Model data for dashboards/reporting/statistical purposes  - Perform ad-hoc analyses that translate into actionable insights  - Contribute to standardization of the data mining processes/statistical methodologies and building a in-house knowledge base  - Engage with BI Vendors/Suppliers as necessary   - Primary responsibility to ensure the quality and integrity of data across the entire spectrum of data collected, analyzed and communicated by the team  Qualifications:  - Bachelors/Masters degree in a quantitative discipline viz Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering etc, An MBA would be an added plus  - 2-4 years of experience in a data science role  - Strong understanding of businesses and their operating environments  - Solution-based approach - ability to comprehend fuzzy large scales problems into silos and drive solutions appropriately  - Top class communication, presentation and project management skills  Technical Skills:   - Understands data modelling  - Proficient in Excel  - Hands-on expertise in relevant tools - SQL, Business Intelligence(Congnos, BO, Pentaho, Qlikview), Web Analytics (GA, Omniture etc), Statistical (R, SAS, SPSS etc)
