Functional Job Title : Business Analyst (BA) - Senior Associate (6-8 years)

Basic Purpose of Job:

Across the globe, institutional investors rely on State Street to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability. The Business Analyst - Senior Associate would be supporting multiple high priority, risk and finance driven (driven by U.S. and European Regulators), complex, global and cross-organizational initiatives to meet various functional requirements. The Business Analyst - Senior Associate will work with numerous functions within State Street to help drive activities to produce and update documentation of internal processes, data controls, periodic testing and validation of controls.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include:

- Experience in leading Regulatory Reporting implementations and Change Management

- Act as an interface between clients, partner organizations, development and testing teams on the entire book of work

- Work with the Business teams to gather detailed, accurate and specific business requirements and functional specifications

- Ensure Business analysis, Gap analysis, Impact analysis and system analysis are done to a high standard on defined projects and continuous improvement initiatives

- Gain a deep understanding of the regulatory environment in US, APAC and EMEA

- Develop expertise on all components involved in the Financial Accounting and Reporting architecture, at regional level and contribute towards Business and IT process improvements

- Prepare functional and technical specifications and work closely with developers to ensure that they understand the specifications and deliver solutions for these specifications

- Work with other Business Analysts on firm-wide initiatives and participate in the front-to-back user testing and regression testing

- Work on optimizing the project plan and review the test plan and co-ordinate with all necessary teams

- Assist with production and support activities and help identify, mitigate and resolve issues which may come up from time to time

- Work with Global counterparts and identify common tools and techniques which can be employed to increase the overall productivity of the team

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

- 6 - 8 years- experience as a business Analyst or BI Analyst in a data-centric project environment.

- Minimum Bachelor degree in Science/Finance/Engineering. Masters/CFA/FRM is a plus.

- It is imperative that the candidate have prior Regulatory Reporting implementation experience, across the entire implementation life-cycle

- Basic understanding of Basel Regulations

- Experience in Finance and Accounting

- Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints.

- Experience with both traditional Waterfall SDLC and Agile.

- Placing high value on accuracy; diligent about upholding control points and procedures in the Software development lifecycle

Skills/ Knowledge

- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and to liaise with and influence senior subject matter experts

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), PL/SQL

- Proficiency in Axiom's - Controller View-

- Understanding trade and loan life cycles

- Flexible, able to adapt to changing priorities in an Agile and informal setting.

- Willing to take ownership and initiative, be accountable and proactive, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
