Position :

- Our quantitative strategies now make extensive use of data science to efficiently integrate traditional financial datasets alongside new massive and/or unstructured datasets. The use of big data is key to providing diversifying investment signals to our clients. Along with new datasets come new machine learning techniques to make use of these. Being a leader in both domains, we have been using big data technologies for years now and keep on growing our expertise.

- Our active quantitative equities team fully relies on distributed technology for its computing needs. Our information technology team is looking for a data scientist to support our quantitative investment research efforts. Within this role, you will take on a major responsibility in the support and development of the research and production coding library and database.

- You will work alongside researchers developing new investment signals and get a chance to share your computer science knowledge and develop your quantitative investment skills.

Required skills:

- Excellent coding skills.

- Curious and detailed oriented.

- Great analytical skills and problem solving capabilities.

- Advanced R or Python knowledge.

- Experience working with relational databases and SQL.

- Familiarity with GIT.

- Basic statistics knowledge.

Desirable skills:

- Experience with Java or C++.

- Working experience with distributed processing. Experience with one of Hadoop, Spark, Netezza, Hive, SparkSQL, SparkR.

- Experience in database development with strong skills in schema design, development and performance tuning.

- Experience developing software in collaboration with others and maintaining a coding library.

- Familiarity with investment theory and data.

- Experience working in continuous integration using Jenkins.

- Working knowledge of Linux.

- Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau.

- Knowledge of Tensorflow and/or Theano.

Education :

Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in physics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or computer science.

Undergraduate degree with strong experiences can be considered as well.
