CONTEXT:  Lead the big data platform for hotstar. This position will be leading the data sciences team and thus would be a key member of the hotstar team as we continue to build upon the success of hotstar.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  - Articulate and execute a strong data sciences philosophy for Star's new entertainment aggregator service that cuts across TV shows, movies, sports and Hollywood content ( HOTSTAR)  - Design, develop and implement the framework for own platform consumer and consumption data as well as integration with third party data, including social networks and independent publishers  - Develop engines for content recommendation and consumer targeting for advertisements  - Drive deep analytics around consumer and consumption to generate insights to continually improve the platform  - Managing a team of data scientists  PERFORMANCE MEASURES:  - Consumer engagement and value to advertisers  QUALIFICATION:  - Masters or PhD in economics, econometrics, mathematics, statistics or sciences  - 12-15 years of experience in hard quantitative and analytics background preferably in a fast paced digital/consulting environment  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:  - Inspiring leadership skills  - Knowledge of advanced quantitative techniques, exposure to best in class practices of - Big data- Mining  PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:  - Ability to motivate, develop and inspire people  - Thrive in an environment of high volatility and ambiguity  - Be excited about shaping a new space in India at the convergence of media, data and technology
