Report To: Head-Managed Investments &Product Management  Job Role:  To manage the Alternative Investments business from a product perspective including P&L management, new product development, research, channel management, systems, etc. Alternatives include structured products, portfolio management services, private equity, real estate and all other non MF offerings.  Key Responsibilties:  STRATEGY  - Building the IS business to achieve leadership position in the marketplace.   - Development of a sustainable business model that will be profitable in the long-term.  - Building the sales strategy for IS.   - Development of the Financial Planning franchise / positioning for the Bank.  - Development of strong and differentiated product propositions for investment services.  - Profitable Management of key Alliances.   - Launching and managing new, innovative products.  DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT  Setting and monitoring of business performance standards for :  - Acquisition and Up-sell  - Retention   - Profitability  - Developing alternative channels for distribution  PRODUCT PROPOSITION  - Bringing innovative product and product bundles to the market place.   - Strengthening the customer Value and service propositions for IS  BOTTOM LINE FOCUS   - Maximize business performance opportunity.   - Manage the Fee Structure, revenue generation, sub-brokerage and minimize revenue leakage.  OPERATIONS & MIS  - Ensure the implementation of appropriate systems and operational processes to measure and manage KPIs and profitability.   PEOPLE MANAGEMENT  - Building a performance-oriented culture.  - Instill a sense of belonging and team-work.   Knowledge/Skills:  - Good understanding of the dynamics of the financial services market with particular emphasis on alternate products namely, structured products, portfolio management services, private equity, real estate and other non-traditional offerings.  - Strategic orientation and aptitude  - Well developed project management skills  - Experience in product management would be preferred
