Job Profile:  Job Position: IT Senior Project Manager, Solman Solution Delivery for Innovation Track	  Function: Global IT Innovation  WL: 2C	  Reports to: IT Director ALM COE   Scope: Global 	 Location: Bangalore ETSC  Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:  Vision and Purpose:  - Enterprise Solutions mission is to significantly increase the speed of business solution implementations while maintaining quality and enabling a material reduction of IT costs relative to turnover by driving convergence and simplification within IT.  - Global Solution Manager program aims to have one global process and tools (anchored on Global Solman) supporting the business solutions from implementation to run phase. In this journey, the aim is to land business benefits by reducing risk to the ERP landscape, reduce cost of operations and land innovation faster. There are 2 key pillars of this programme – “Innovation Management” and “Operate as One”  - This role is to lead the Innovation Management track which aims to simplify ERP innovation globally in Unilever and drive capital efficiencies in large global programs.  - The role of the “IT Senior Project Manager for Innovation ”, covers all project and programme management of the Innovation track of Global Solman covering initiatives like Global Project Delivery, Global Documentation management , Testing and Change and release management for key big bets and our strategic SAP landscapes.   - The Senior project manager will be responsible to ensure all ERP innovations (Big bets) land faster and better in the complex landscape using the Global Solman capabilities.   - Will work with the rest of Innovation IT Organization to ensure that all projects landing into our Regional/Global landscapes are worked with quality, introduced in a timely, affordable and sustainable manner, based on the standard and agreed methodologies and ways of working.   Accountabilities and responsibilities:   IT Senior Project manager will be involved through the full life of the Global Solman Innovation track projects from thought to finish.   - Defining the global processes for innovation and capabilities in Global Solman / associated toolsets.  - Design, build and deliver the capabilities in Innovation Management through Global Solman.  - Working with key stakeholders and partner teams on requirements, developing appropriate high level designs, costs and time estimates   - Ensuring adherence to the Global Solman governance and global release and change processes  - Work in a multi vendor environment and ensure project delivery on time and in fill   - Driving targeted business benefits, activation and training for all innovation teams in IT and vendor partners.  The Senior IT project manager will work closely with :  - Working in close partnership with Enterprise Solutions Directors (GPD, Release Management and with Programme Directors) to ensure on-time and on-budget execution for key projects.  - Other Innovation project managers from big bets , Global Solution Delivery managers   - Internal key stakeholders  - With Program Directors, Project and Release Managers - to create stretching delivery targets for change projects with acceptable risk to ongoing operations  - Key vendor partners   Main Accountabilities:  The main accountabilities are as follows:  Project-based Activities:  - Developing innovation management capabilities in Global Solman  - Supporting engagement in clarifying requirements, developing appropriate high level designs, costs and time estimates for the production of high quality project Charters E2E reliable solutions by design.  - QA’ing (and challenging) requirements documentation; ensuring that these are completed to the appropriate standard and level of detail and clarity.   - Creating clear conceptual designs for projects or changes that will deliver the IT requirements, balanced with the need for simplicity, reusability, lowest possible TCO.  - Proposing the priority and sequence of changes linked to specific releases and working with the Release Management organisation to agree these.   - Managing the process of development and sign-off of functional specifications for each project/group of changes.   - Reviewing technical specifications as these are created by the delivery partners, and running design reviews during the build phase as appropriate  - Converging / Migrating Unilever ERP repositories into Global Solman – across all 4 ERP landscapes - documentation, test cases and test scripts.  - Ensuring on boarding of big bets/landscapes across the capabilities of Innovation track in Global Solman  - Overseeing vendor partners carrying out some or all of the above activities.  Direct Reports / Key Interfaces:  - WL2 team members - for innovation capability and for delivery for Big Bets:	  - PMs, Innovation teams (Big bets)  - SMEs, Innovation teams  - Landscape Contacts – PMs, SMEs  - Global Solution Delivery Managers   - Service Tower SME’s  - Strategic IT Suppliers  - IT Solution Providers  Critical success Factors for the Job:  Key Skills / Relevant Experience:  - Good influencing styles and networking ability.   - Team leadership and management   - Ability to work effectively in complex matrix organisations involving outsourced operations.  - Strong business analysis skills and good business awareness to drive business process improvement.  - Ability to understand and apply new technologies/applications to deliver effective IT solutions.   - Deep understanding of application development methodology, techniques and standards.   - Project management and delivery processes   - Delivery focus with quality 	 - Proven experience in business analysis and business process improvement.   - Project management experience of significant sized and complex projects, with a proven track record of delivery.   - Experience of managing teams (possible across multiple locations).   - Extensive knowledge of relevant processes and IT solutions in area of responsibility.   - Experience of business case and project contract development.   - Appreciation of IT systems landscapes and impact of architecture decisions on quality and delivery.   - Technical specialism in the relevant IT technologies or applications.  Leadership Behaviours:  - Should "meet expectations" on the Standards of Leadership behaviours relevant to the WL of this job.
