Job Title: Senior Manager-Strategic Planning and Business Analysis for a Food & Beverages major.

Department: Strategic Planning and Business Analysis

Location: Corporate Office, Bangalore

1. Scope of the job

Job purpose:

- Design / Refresh of Strategy map and Balance Score Card, Implementation of BSC and Strategic initiatives; projects; Monitoring, Analysis and Review of BSC plans; Communication of BSC / Strategy plans, initiatives and updates.

Key responsibilities:

- Strategic Planning/Design

- Identifies strategic issues periodically

- Confirms strategic destination and planning horizon in collaboration with the management team

- Facilitates the process of formulating strategies with the concerned functions

- Formulates Balanced Scorecard based on the strategies formulated

- Builds strategic objectives and linkages including strategy map

- Collaborates with different functional teams to gather, analyse, summarize, perform due diligence and develop recommendations and strategies based on option evaluation and strategic fit
Implementation

- Coordinates the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard and strategic projects across the company in alignment with the corporate strategic plan

- Provides leadership to various strategic projects involving cross functional teams; planning, executing, monitoring and reviewing on-going projects
Business Analysis

- Provides detailed feedback to the concerned Functional Heads on the basis of analysis as well as Top Management on Monthly & Quarterly basis

- Provides assistance to senior and middle managers to monitor the performance against the score card and to facilitate on-going cycles of improvement, alignment, and integration

- Monitoring

- Receives status of strategic objectives and action plans from concerned functions on periodic basis

- Monitors performance on pre-determined period basis (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly plan), the variance from plan and the drivers of variance.

- Carries out detailed analysis of Key Performance Indicators as per Balanced Scorecard received from the functions

Review

- Creates and manages business dashboards for tracking and monitoring performance

- Provides information on the scores achieved on a periodical basis

- Designs business review mechanisms and structures

- Drives reviews: Quarterly reviews, Business plan reviews, Long term Strategy planning reviews and Capex reviews (during long term and "outside" budget proposals)

Communication

- Establishes purpose and outcomes of strategy communications

- Analyses data to create agenda/key messages for meetings

- Prepares major presentations for senior management and makes presentations on behalf of management to communicate the plan.

- Continues to supply enthusiastic support for the Balanced Scorecard

3. Measures to success

- Strategy map and BSC Framework clearly articulated and communicated to the relevant parts of the organisation.

- Strategic Initiatives identified along with key functions

- Strategic initiatives deployed/implemented and taken to closure along with the respective functions

- Timely monitoring and review along with functional heads and the leadership team.

- Strategy map and BSC refreshed at relevant intervals

4. Job holder profile

Qualifications:

- MBA, with consistently good academic performance

- Experience required:

- Management experience of at least 8-11 years including Senior Management.

- Experience in the areas of strategy formulation, strategic planning, implementation and control

- Experience to and exposure in analysis/implementation of BSC.

Job essentials:

- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills in order to maximise interactions with Both Internal and External Key Contacts.

- Good presentation skills, good written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to influence, manage expectations, analyse information and conceptualise.

- Language(s) required:

- English: fluent.

Exposure to Balance Score Card implementation is a must.
