Sr Mgr/Mgr - Business Process Re-engineering (10-15 yrs)

Overview of Responsibilities

The Business Process Re-Engineering consultant position will entail working to define and remodel business processes. The BPR consultant will use strategic planning to collect business information from internal leads in order to produce business process models and implement organizational change management.

- Overseeing and leading the project management cycle: Studying the business overview of Time Inc and TAS to understand the existing Functional overlaps, Duplication of work, and Gaps

- Research of TAS Business Units and Functions: Working closely with functional leads of various business units to deep dive into the day to day operational work across various magazine clusters/business units to provide a centralized approach

- Resource Understanding: Identify and provide preliminary costs and timelines of potential options as well as the time commitment required by both business unit leads and management

- Business process assessment and Re-engineering: Operationalizing different stages of project execution including Kick-off, Stakeholder consultation, Business Unit/Functional Blueprinting, Realization, Documentation and Project closure

- Efficiencies: Responsible for streamlining existing processes by understanding the current function, suggesting process efficiencies and working with leads to come up with effective solutions

- Process improvements: Drive Six Sigma or lean initiatives and related reporting and identify process gaps and drive initiatives to fix the gaps

- Documentation: Preparing dashboards, Process documents, Standard operating procedures and Training materials for various processes in the team

- Consolidation: Providing advice in defining new requirements and opportunities as a result of streamlined process and identified gaps including Organization Charts, Consolidation of functions within and across business units

- Process materials: Advice on how TAS can work on documentation, updating new and existing SOP’s and marinating this into training plans within business units.

- Controls: Develop controls to avoid any financial impact or any errors, ensuring calibration of processes for audits

- Quality: Complete ownership of process compliance to quality standards (ISO, SOX etc)

- Audits: Design Sampling Strategy and regular process quality check audits

- Tracking progress and errors: Complete ownership of customer comebacks for teams and identify opportunities to track errors for each process related activity

- Training: Drive best practice/idea sharing, and train team on various quality tools

- Financial Impact: Identify savings to the company through various projects / Standardization of process

Overview of Skill set

- 4+ years supervisory experience with strong strategic thinking/problem solving skills

- Have had previous experience in process re-engineering / optimization efforts , managing performance/quality issues and create a performance/quality plan if needed

- Must have supervised an operations process/re-engineering / quality team in a BPO and/or a Captive Center environment

- Led and Implemented Six Sigma to various projects successfully

- Must possess strong management and analytical skills in evaluating operations, internal controls and procedures

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

- Demonstrated change leader, along with the ability to support teams dealing with ambiguity

Educational Qualifications & Preferred Experience

- Education: BCom/BSc/BTech and Masters Degree with specialization in Business/ Project Management/ Operations Management and related fields

- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of business/industry work experience with at least 5-6+ years of experience in process design/process engineering leadership role

- Certification required: Six sigma Black Belt certified - proficient in Six Sigma and other quality statistical / analytical tools and reporting

- Project Management Professional (PMP) would be preferred.

- Preferred Relevant Experience: Business process modeling and analysis & Cross Functional collaboration experience
