Role : Senior Manager Training & Development.

Require: 7-10 years of relevant experience and Education.

This job description is intended as a representation of the primary responsibilities of and qualifications for this position. Typically Training & Development role holder plays a key role in diagnosing training needs across the organisation based on organisational, team and individual priorities. This involves the development, management and evaluation of a range of appropriate and accessible learning and development interventions & be responsible for managing the T&D programme. As the key contact for training and development activities, the post holder is expected to build & maintain positive working relationships with all line managers, to source and establish a cost effective and comprehensive range of training mechanism.

- Also guides managers through the learning needs analysis process, offering support, advice and ideas for effectively meeting needs, ensuring decisions are made in line with the organisation's principles. Ensures effective and ongoing co-ordination (including delivery where appropriate), evaluation and updating of the Leadership & Management Development Programme. Develops and implements learning evaluation procedures and analysis of feedback in order to effectively evaluate the impact of development activities at organisational, team and individual level. Manages and monitoring of the learning and development budget. Manages training calendar, supports change management and leadership development

Activities are likely to include some or all of the following:

- Identifying training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments;

- Designing and developing training and development programmes based on both the organisation's and the individual's needs;

- Considering the costs of planned programmes and keeping within budgets as assessing the return on investment of any training or development programme is becoming increasingly important;

- Working in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organisation,

- Developing effective induction programmes;

- Devising individual learning plans;

- Producing training materials for in-house courses;

- Managing the delivery of training and development programmes

- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers;

- Evaluating training and development programmes;

- Amending and revising programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment;

- Helping line managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups;

- Keeping up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses;

Profile Requirement

- Concentrated T&D experience of 7-10 years in consumer driven business & well known organizations preferably from service sector. Exposure to areas like training & development, career planning, communication systems and strategies etc. Knowledge of Competency based training & development systems and other key HR systems and their linkages with competencies Skills-Communication, Competency Mapping & Development,
