About our Client - Our client is a global provider of banking, financial, advisory, investment and funds management services, with offices in more than 20 countries. They are known for their diversified business lines with specialist expertise. In their growing setup in Delhi NCR, they are looking for a specialist in the product control space.

Job Description :

- The role will require expertise of financial products, strong people management as well the ability to communicate effectively at senior level across the bank/FMG. Reporting to the VP/AVP, your key responsibilities will include:

- Daily P&L production (Asset classes:

- Equities, Treasury, Fixed Income, Commodities, FX etc.) Ensure timely lockdown of daily and monthly P&L (including market commentaries)

- Should be able to substantiate daily and monthly adjustments held in p&l and control accounts if any

- Review monthly balance sheet, with substantiation and potential financial exposure. Review various reconciliation reports, management packs and adhoc reports. Review of month end Journals for accrual, provision and true up

- Ensure adherence to SLA's, KPI's, Internal metrics & FMG wide policies. Identify/ manage risk and control breakdowns. Develop & Maintain effective and standard processes

- Stakeholder Management Regular face off with Traders, Product Control Management team.

- Act as a point of reference for team members and internal stakeholders

- Manage relationship with internal stakeholders, take regular feedback, anticipate and understand issues and escalate appropriately for timely resolution

- Manage strong relationship with Support teams

- People Management Maintaining a pleasant workplace environment which is motivating and enables high performance within team

- Monitoring people performance, providing timely feedback, performing annual and mid-year appraisals. ( including people development, pipeline/skills monitoring, and training programs)

- Minimize dependency on key people by cross training and succession planning

The Successful Candidate :

- As an ideal candidate, you are an experienced finance professional with exposure to financial products, accounting and statutory reporting.

- You are CA/MBA with 7-9 years post qualification experience with considerable experience (3-4 years) in product control.

- Having a firm understanding of financial products such as equities, fixed income, FX, Treasury would be highly advantageous.

- You should also have good communication skills, a self-starter attitude and should have flexibility with working in a different time zone.
