- 12 years of experience in L&D.
- Must have a lot of training delivery experience (a good benchmark - at least 200 sessions in his career)
- Must be competent in instructional design - should have designed modules around leadership, managerial skills and coaching and mentoring
- Should have worked in corporate L&D - ideal if has headed L&D for a smaller organization
- Excellent engagement skills so that he can engage with, convince and negotiate with stake holders
- Affinity for numbers and experience with managing L&D budgets
- Open to a fair bit of travel (ball park of 12 days in a month)
- Experience to development constructs such as assessment centres and development centres
- Accreditation in new instruments such as appreciative inquiry and life coaching would be an advantage
- On the personality aspect, must be assertive and able to work with a demanding people
