Sr Manager - Indirect Taxation - Manufacturing (10-15 yrs)
Position: Sr Manager-Indirect Taxation (Leading MNC Manufacturing Co)
Role:
- To be overall responsible for the Indirect tax compliance of Indirect Tax (Excise, Service Tax, Sales tax, Custom, SEZ, FEMA, FTP etc)
- Plan and coordinate for periodic closing for Tax accounting and reporting purposes as per the reporting requirements
- To lead the design, development and implementation of the company's Indirect tax strategies. Continuously enhancing the role in improving Compliances
- Coordinate with the external and internal auditors, Govt. Authorities, Consultants
- To lead change projects throughout the organisation
Requirements:
- Graduate & MBA (Finance) with Diploma in Indirect Taxation or EXIM/ CA
- Minimum 10-15 years working experience in industry in Indirect Taxation function in the areas of Excise, EXIM, Service Tax, VAT and FTP regulations and compliance
- Operational Knowledge of SAP system so desirable
- Hands on exposure of appearing before the Central Excise, Customs VAT and other Tax
- Exposure on working for managing the appeals including drafting / framing of Grounds of appeals, drafting of responses and working with consultants
- Reasonable knowledge on provisions of Double Taxation Conventions, Regulatory formalities of Reserve Bank of India, Taxation of expatriate etc
