Forensic - Internal Audit (4-10 yrs)

There is an urgent opportunity for Forensic in Internal Audit team:

General Description:

The incumbent will be responsible to support Head - IA & RM in managing the forensics vertical within the internal audit function and shall report functionally to Head - IA and RM.

- The incumbent is expected to take the overall responsibility of managing the forensics vertical and support Head - IA & RM by working alongside the investigation teams and external ombudsman (TARI).

Responsibilities:

- Reviewing the whistleblower complaints tracker maintained by the external ombudsman (TARI);

- Follow-up on pending / open cases with concerned investigating agencies / teams;

- Review complaints reported as closed along with validating the supporting documents / evidences;

- Ensure centralized archival of supporting documents / evidences for a minimum period (period to be decided) for complaints that are disposed / closed;

- Organize fortnightly (or as-n-when depending upon the need) meetings of the ethics committee by giving at least one week's notice;

- Circulate the agenda and supporting documents / presentation slides to the ethics committee at least one week before the meeting;

- Prepare and circulate minutes of the ethics committee to the members within 2 working days from the date of the meeting clearly detailing the action items, decisions taken etc.;

- Process invoices raised by TARI / investigation agencies and place it for EC chairman's approval;

- Prepare presentation slides / updates for ethics committee as well as the audit committee;

- Support investigating teams / agencies with logistical support and assistance, where required, to ensure objective and systemic closure of complaints;

- Provide inputs to internal audit team on nature of complaints relating to fraud to include those areas as part of the audit plan and to review effectiveness of post implementation of mitigating controls;

Skill Set

- Should be a go-getter;

- Excellent presentation skills (MS Office Powerpoint);

- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral);

- Person of very high integrity and conduct;

- Excellent data analytical skills including use of MS Excel;

- Understanding of processes and systems is desirable;

- Should have thorough understanding of design of process controls to understand root causes for failure as well as to assess proposed mitigating controls to fix them;

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / MBA finance

- CFE (Certified fraud examiner) certification is preferred

- Prior work experience in similar role is desirable
