Job Description:
- Reporting to the Business Head / ISU – Unit Head will be responsible for providing services to vendors (Banks). Team performs banking activities, including oversight of bank reconciliations, internal and external wire transfers, submission of reports to Banks’ CFO/Controllers.
- The Manager will work closely with the Vendors Operations, Technology & Treasury Projects teams on various operational issues & Initiatives to identify and implement process improvements to enhance controls, improve efficiency and increase scalability.
- Given the importance and sensitivity of these processes to the organization, a successful candidate will possess prior experience managing a R2R/Cash Management functions for banks, a strong understanding and conviction around establishing and maintaining internal controls, and a proven track record of consistent, accurate execution and the ability to delivery against timelines.
- Team manages end to end bank/branch (GL/Account) reconciliation of approx 7000+ GLs across 2500 branches in US, Canada & Puerto Rico. Card reconciliations involve interacting with Banks Treasury, Merchants & Associations for settlement advises & seeking resolution of open items.
Job Purpose and Background/context:
- Primary purpose of the job is to manage Key Metrics of Unit, Identify, Develop and Retain talent, develop second lines, ensuring that the unit performs the process by adhering various controls put in place, usage of resources to the optimum level and managing relationship with Client.
- It also includes looking out for various means of getting the new and similar processes (cross selling) being migrated and thus improving our bottom-line.

- Managing Unit Metrics, Improving TAT, Increasing Productivity, managing aging etc
- People Management – talent development & retention, training strategy, Effective Communication to Employee / TCS Seniors / Clients
- Extending Domains, exploring new opportunities for expanding business
- Managing & improving bottom-line, cost reduction
- Ensuring adherence to various Client & TCS policies by effective implementation of controls
- Fostering innovation, automation, process re-engineering
- Building & maintaining Client relationships, delivering Client solutions
- To maintain & ensure process / audit documents are timely updated
Person Specification:
Knowledge/Experience:
- Excellent Functional Knowledge : knowledge of reconciliation applications/platforms, interface systems etc
- Strong Mandatory Knowledge : retail banking products: knowledge of business upstream & downstream partners
- Basic knowledge of Accounting is required
- Experience in handling Internal & External Audits (Like SAS, COPC, ISO, BS27999, etc)
- Knowledge on Accounting Standards, BASELII, .SOX requirements will be preferred

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Post Graduation / Masters Degree in Business Management
